11/28/18 WWE NXT Recap: Burch/Lorcan vs. Mighty; EC3 Returns; Borne vs. Yim; Lee vs. Sullivan Main Event

The opening credits roll and then Nigel McGuinness and Vic Joseph welcome us to the show from San Jose, California.

Match #1 – Tag Team Match: Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan vs. The Mighty (Shane Thorne and Nick Miller)
Burch and Thorne start the match and Burch takes control with a few arm wringers. Lorcan tags in and keeps the work going, and Burch tags right back in. Burch continues the arm work and tags Lorcan back in. Thorne comes back and delivers an uppercut and tags in Miller. Lorcan applies a headlock to Miller and then kicks him in the chest. Lorcan goes for a roll-up, but Miller kicks out at two. Lorcan applies a single-leg crab and Burch applies a cross-face to Thorne. Miller gets to the ropes and then he and Thorne go to the floor. Thorne distracts Lorcan and Miller delivers a belly-to-back suplex. Miller slams Lorcan into the corner and tags in Thorne. Thorne delivers a shot to Lorcan’s back and then keeps him grounded with a kick to the back. Miller tags back in the rakes at the face of Lorcan and then applies a rear chin-lock.
Thorne tags back in as Miller drops Lorcan with a clothesline. Thorne goes for the cover, but Lorcan kicks out at two. Lorcan fights back with chops and slaps, but Thorne delivers an uppercut and then applies a neck wrench down on the mat. Lorcan gets free and tags in Burch. Burch knocks Miller to the floor and drops Throne with a face-buster. Burch delivers a back-body drop to Thorne and then a running knee in the corner. Burch delivers a missile dropkick and tags in Lorcan. Miller gets involved and takes out Burch. Thorne delivers an uppercut in the corner to Lorcan, but Lorcan comes back with one of his own. Lorcan runs the ropes, but Thorne takes him down with a dropkick. Lorcan takes Throne down with a suplex and then knocks Miller to the floor. Lorcan takes both men out with a suicide dive.
Lorcan tosses Thorne back into the ring and tags in Burch. Burch tags Lorcan right back in and Thorne shoves Burch into Lorcan and Miller tags in. Thorne and Miller throw Lorcan into Burch and then go to slam Lorcan, but Burch spears them and Lorcan tolls up Miller for the pin fall.
Winners: Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch
-After the match, The Mighty attack Lorcan and Burch and leave them lying.

We see that Mia Yim and Vanessa Borne will go one-on-one later tonight, as will Keith Lee and Lars Sullivan.

We take a look back to a month ago when Bobby Fish laid out EC3 with a chair after EC3 had defeated Adam Cole. We see that EC3 will go one-on-one with Marcel Barthel up next.

We take a look back to NXT TakeOver: WarGames II and the aftermath of the match between Shayna Baszler and Kairi Sane. We see an interview with Sane, Dakota Kai, and Io Shirai. Sane says the referee’s call was final, even if her shoulder was up, but she is not finished with Baszler. Kai says she doesn’t like Baszler and they are not going to take Baszler getting help from Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir. Shirai says they want all three of them in a match.

Match #2 – Singles Match: EC3 vs. Marcel Barthel
They lock up and then EC# applies a side-headlock. Barthel back him into the corner and then delivers an enzuiguri, Barthel beats EC3 down in the corner and then kicks him to the apron. Barthel slams EC3 to the mat and goes for the cover, but EC3 kicks out at two. Barthel applies a rear chin-lock, but EC3 fights to his feet. EC3 slams Barthel into the turnbuckle and then delivers a series of rights and lefts. EC3 delivers a back elbow and then a scoop slam. EC3 delivers an elbow drop and then delivers the One Percent and gets the pin fall.
Winner: EC3
-After the match, EC3 calls out Bobby Fish and says he is coming for him. EC3 says he is the top one percent and will prove that to Fish and all of the Undisputed ERA.

We see Keith Lee warming up backstage, but up next is Mia Yim vs. Vanessa Borne.

We see a video promo for Dominik Dijakovic.

We then see footage of Candice LeRae from earlier in the week, completely ignoring interviewers as she walked into the Performance Center.

Match #3 – Singles Match: Mia Yim vs. Vanessa Borne
Borne goes for a handshake, but then slams Yim across the face instead. Borne takes Yim to the mat, but Yim fights back and delivers a quick flurry of right hands. Borne rakes Yim’s eyes and then stomps her down in the corner. Borne slams Yim’s face into the turnbuckle and then chokes Yim against the ropes. Borne delivers a swinging neck-breaker and goes for the cover, but Yim kicks out at two. Borne applies a rear chin-lock down on the mat and then sit down onto Yim’s back. Borne taunts for a bit, but Yim grabs her and locks in an arm-bar. Borne makes it to the ropes and then backs Yim into the corner. Borne charges, but Yim dodges and locks in the Tarantula through the ropes. Yim kicks Borne in the chest and then connects with a dropkick. Yim dropkicks Borne into the corner and then kicks her in the face. Yim delivers Eat Defeat and gets the pin fall.
Winner: Mia Yim

We see pictures of War Raiders recovering in the Performance Center after the WarGames Match, and then see Lars Sullivan warming up backstage. He goes one-on-one with Keith Lee up next.

We see a promo from Tommaso Ciampa. He says he is the most dangerous SOB in the history of the company and is the greatest sports entertainer of all time. He says next week, he expects the entire NXT Universe to do one simple thing: follow his lead.

Match #4 – Singles Match: Keith Lee vs. Lars Sullivan
Sullivan and Lee exchange shoves and then Sullivan goes for a shoulder tackle. Lee doesn’t budge and then they get face-to-face. Sullivan backs Lee into the corner and drives his shoulder into his midsection. Lee comes back and delivers a few left hands. Lee goes for the Pounce, but Sullivan counters and takes Lee down with a shoulder tackle. Sullivan picks Lee up, but Lee counters and takes Sullivan down with a cross-body. Lee goes for the cover, but Sullivan kicks out at one. Sullivan sends Lee to the apron, but Lee comes back into the ring. Sullivan catches him with a boot to the face and then a short arm clothesline in the corner. Sullivan spears Lee in the corner and then slams Lee to the mat. Sullivan goes for the cover, but Lee kicks out at one. Sullivan delivers a basement clothesline and then a headbutt from the middle rope. Sullivan goes for the cover, but Lee kicks out at two.
Sullivan delivers forearm shots and then locks in a headlock. Lee gets free, but Sullivan delivers another forearm shot. Sullivan applies a rear chin-lock this time, but Lee fights back. Lee backs Sullivan into the corner, but Sullivan locks in the hold again. Sullivan then sends Lee to the corner and splashes him. Sullivan goes for it again, but Lee moves out of the way and Sullivan hits the ring post. Lee delivers right hands and then delivers a spinning left. Lee slams Sullivan into the turnbuckle and then connects with a cross-body from the apron. Lee goes for the cover, but Sullivan kicks out at two. Lee and Sullivan exchange shots and then Lee takes Sullivan down on the outside. Lee gets Sullivan back into the ring, but Sullivan comes back and drops Lee with the Freak Accident and gets the pin fall.
Winner: Lars Sullivan
