11/7/18 WWE 205 Live Recap: Lucha House Party vs. TJP/Kanellis; Rush in Action; Murphy vs. Andrews Main Event

Drake Maverick opens the show and says that Mustafa Ali will get his shot at the WWE Cruiserweight Championship at Survivor Series. He then tells the matches for the night: The Lucha House Party vs. Mike Kanellis and TJP, and Mark Andrews going one-on-one with the Cruiserweight Champion, Buddy Murphy.

The opening credits then roll, and Nigel McGuinness, Percy Watson, and Vic Joseph welcome us to the show.

Match #1 – Tag Team Match: TJP and Mike Kanellis (w/Maria Kanellis) vs.Lucha House Party (Kalisto and Lince Dorado)
Kalisto and TJP start the match and Kalisto backs TJP into the corner. TJP tries to rip Kalisto’s mask, but Kalisto backs away and then drops TJP with an arm-drag. Kalisto follows it up with a dropkick and tags in Dorado. Dorado tosses Kalisto down onto TJP and then delivers a splash himself. TJP gets to the corner and Kanellis tags in. Kalisto and Dorado double-team Kanellis and send him to the floor. LHP fake suicide dives and then taunt TJP and Kanellis in the ring. Kanellis gets back into the ring and kicks Dorado in the midsection and then sends him to the corner. Kanellis stomps away on Dorado, but Dorado comes back and takes Kanellis down with a head-scissors take down. Dorado follows it up with a dropkick and then an arm-drag, but Kanellis gains control and backs him into the ropes. TJP drops Dorado with a clothesline and tags back in.
TJP pounds away on Dorado and delivers an elbow drop. TJP goes for the cover, but Dorado kicks out at two. Kanellis tags back in and he and TJP double-team Dorado. Kanellis drops an elbow and goes for the cover, but Dorado kicks out. Kanellis sends Dorado to the corner and delivers a clothesline. Kanellis then delivers a boot to the face and goes for the cover, but Dorado kicks out again. TJP tags back in and stomps away on Dorado. TJP locks in a rear chin-lock, but Dorado fights to his feet and tags in Kalisto. Kalisto connects with a few kicks and takes TP to the corner, but Kanellis makes a blind tag. Kanellis pulls Kalisto to the floor and delivers a Russian leg-sweep into the barricade. Kanellis tosses Kalisto back into the ring and goes for the cover, but Kalisto kicks out at two. Kanellis applies a waist-lock down on the mat, but Kalisto fights out and counters with a DDT.
TJP and Dorado tag back in and Dorado connects with a cross-body. Dorado delivers a spinning heel kick and then slaps TJP across the chest. Dorado kicks TJP in the face and then takes Kanellis down to the mat with a flapjack. Dorado kicks TJP again and then connects with a few moonsaults. Dorado goes for the cover, but Kanellis breaks it up at two. Kanellis and TJP send Dorado off the ropes, but he counters with a double Golden Rewind that sends TJP and Kanellis to the floor. Kalisto and Dorado go up top and connect with moonsaults to the floor. Dorado tosses TJP back into the ring and connects with the Bronco Buster. TJP comes right back and locks in a knee-bar submission, but Kalisto breaks it up. Kalisto sends Kanellis back to the floor and takes him out with a suicide dive. Dorado grabs TJP and rolls him up, but TJP rolls through and grabs Dorado’s mask and rips it off. Dorado has another mask underneath and catches TJP with a roll-up and gets the pin fall.
Winners: Lucha House Party

We see footage of Cedric Alexander training in the Performance Center, but he is interrupted by Lio Rush. Rush says Alexander has lost his edge and he might need a one-on-one match with him to see what he’s got. Rush makes fun of Alexander doing “homework” and leaves. We then see that the match is official for next week.

Match #2 – Singles Match: Lio Rush vs. Josh Morrell
They lock up and Morrll takes Rush down with an arm-drag. Morrell sends Rush to the corner with an enzuiguri and then a boot to the face. Rush comes back with an enzuiguri of his own that sends Morrell to the floor. Rush slams Morrell into the barricade and then tosses him back into the ring. Rush stomps away and then delivers a cannonball in the corner. Rush goes up top and hits the Final Hour and gets the pin fall.
Winner: Lio Rush
-After the match, Rush grabs a mic and talks about his match against Cedric Alexander next week. He says Alexander has been in a slump and it will be Alexander’s final hour next week.

We see a video hype package for Mark Andrews, who will take on Buddy Murphy in tonight’s main event, which is up next.

Mustafa Ali cuts a promo and says he will finally realize his dream and become the WWE Cruiserweight Champion at Survivor Series.

We see that Akira Tozawa and The Brian Kendrick will take on Drew Gulak and Gentleman Jack Gallagher on next week’s show.

Match #3 – Singles Match: Buddy Murphy vs. Mark Andrews
Murphy takes Andrews to the mat and applies a wrist-lock, but Andrews counters into one of his own. Murphy gets free and trips Andrews up. Andrews comes back with a trip of his own and both men are at a stalemate. Murphy throws Andrews into the corner, but Andrews comes back with a chop. Murphy sends Andrews to the floor after a failed shoulder tackle from Andrews, but Andrews comes back with a roll-up for two. Andrews connects with an enzuiguri that sends Murphy to the floor and then takes him down with a hurricanrana. Andrews gets Murphy back into the ring, but Murphy comes back and slams Andrews face-first into the turnbuckle. Murphy throws Andrews across the ring a few times and then delivers an elbow shot. Murphy goes for the cover, but Andrews kicks out at two. Murphy applies a rear chin-lock/shoulder bar combo, but Andrews gets free and sends Murphy to the floor.
Andrews keeps control and sends Murphy over the announce table and then beats him down on the floor. Andrews dropkicks Murphy into the barricade and connects with a forearm shot. Andrews takes Murphy down with a dive from the steps and then tosses him back into the ring. Andrews goes for a springboard clothesline, but Murphy catches him and goes for Murphy’s Law. Andrews counters and slams Murphy to the mat and goes for the cover, but Murphy kicks out at two. Murphy tosses Andrews to the apron, but Andrews comes back with an enzuiguri. Andrews goes for another cover, but Murphy kicks out at two again. Murphy comes back with a series of kicks, but Andrews delivers another enzuiguri. Andrews goes for a tornado DDT from the ropes, but Murphy holds on and delivers a power-bomb. Murphy goes for the cover, but Andrews kicks out at two.
Murphy goes for Murphy’s Law, but Andrews counters with Stundog Millionaire. Andrews goes up top and goes for a Shooting Star Press, but Murphy gets his knees up. Murphy delivers a knee to the face and then delivers Murphy’s Law and gets the pin fall.
Winner: Buddy Murphy
