Biography

– Morris’ first regular wrestling gig was in Jerry Jarrett’s CWA promotion, where he wrestled as Harley Davidson
– Morris began working for the then WWF in January 1985, taking on the Hillbilly Jim persona
– In his first televised match, Jim defeated AJ Petruzzi
– In March 1985, Jim suffered a knee injury after slipping on a wet patch at ringside. During his recovery period, he would continue to appear on TV, managing his storyline family members. He would return to in-ring action in September
– At WrestleMania III, Jim teamed with Haiti Kid & Little Beaver to defeat King Kong Bundy, Little Tokyo & Lord Littlebrook by DQ
– At Survivor Series ’88, Jim teamed with Hercules, Koko B Ware, Hulk Hogan & Randy Savage to defeat Ted DiBiase, The Big Boss Man, Akeem, Haku & The Red Rooster
– On June 10, 1989 at the Nassau Coliseum, Hillbilly Jim scored a huge upset over Andre the Giant defeating him by disqualification.
– Jim quietly retired from the ring in 1991
– In 1992, Hillbilly Jim returned to the WWF as one of the final hosts of WWF Prime Time Wrestling alongside Vince McMahon, Jim Duggan, Bobby Heenan, Mr. Perfect, Sgt. Slaughter and many more until the final episode of Prime Time Wrestling in January 1993
– In 1994, Jim wrestled two matches for Tony Rumble’s CWA promotion
– Jim competed in the Gimmick Battle Royal at WrestleMania X-Seven
