WWE NXT Recap – 11/15/17: Street Profits vs. Moss/Sabbatelli, Sullivan in Action; Moon vs. Martinez Main Event

We see the NXT opening video and then head into the arena where Nigel McGuinness, Mauro Ranallo, and Percy Watson welcome us to the show. we see that Drew McIntyre and Andrade “Cien” Almas will meet face-to-face later tonight, as well as Ember Moon going one-on-one with Mercedes Martinez.

Match #1: Tag Team Match – The Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins) vs. Tino Sabbatelli and Riddick Moss
Dawkins and Sabbatelli start with a lock-up. Sabbatelli backs Dawkins into the corner, but Dawkins comes back with a waist-lock take down. Sabbatelli comes back with a back elbow, but Dawkins comes back with a shoulder block. Ford gets into the ring and takes Sabbatelli down with a basement dropkick and then he and Dawkins dropkick Moss to the floor. Ford tries to take control, but Sabbatelli gets to his feet and takes Ford down. Moss tags in and drops Ford with a belly-to-back suplex. Sabbatelli tags back in and slugs Ford down to the mat. Sabbatelli pie-faces Ford and then delivers a right hand that sends Ford back down to the mat.
Ford is able to get free and tag in Dawkins. Dawkins drops Sabbatelli with a few clotheslines and then drops Moss with a bulldog. Dawkins splashes Moss in the corner and then drops Sabbatelli with a right hand shot and gets the pin fall.
Winners: The Street Profits.

We see the video hype package for the ongoing feud between Aleister Black and The Velveteen Dream. We then are reminded that they will go one-on-one at NXT TakeOver: WarGames.

We see that Lars Sullivan will be in action after the break.

Back from the break, we are reminded that “Executioner’s Tax (Swing of the Axe)” by Power Trip is one of the official theme songs for NXT TakeOver: War Games. We are then reminded that Kassius Ohno and Lars Sullivan will go one-on-one at the event.

Match #2: Singles Match – Lars Sullivan vs. Raul Mendoza
Mendoza goes for a springboard, but Sullivan drops him with a headbutt in mid air. Sullivan smashes Mendoza in the corner twice and then power slams him down to the mat. Sullivan clubs Mendoza with cross-face shots and then delivers the Freak Accident and gets the pin fall.
Winners: Lars Sullivan.
After the match, Sullivan goes after Mendoza again. Kassius Ohno rushes the ring and Sullivan tosses Mendoza aside. Ohno and Sullivan stare each other down and then Sullivan laughs at Ohno and leaves the ring.

We see William Regal backstage. Johnny Gargano walks into his office. Gargano says he knows he still belongs in NXT and can turn his career around. Regal says an opportunity has arisen and says Pete Dunne has challenged anybody in NXT to a match and he will put the WWE United Kingdom Championship on the line. Regal offers the match to Gargano and says the match will be next week. Gargano accepts and walks away as we head to a break.

Back from the break, we see a video hype package for the WarGames Match featuring The Undisputed ERA, SAnitY, and the team of The Authors of Pain and Roderick Strong.

We are reminded that Drew McIntyre and Andrade “Cien” Almas will meet face-to-face later tonight and see that Ember Moon and Mercedez Martinez will go one-on-one after the break.

Back from the break, we are reminded that “Play” by Marmozets will be one of the official theme songs for NXT TakeOver: WarGames. We are then reminded of the Fatal-Four Way Match featuring Kairi Sane, Ember Moon, Peyton Royce, and Nikki Cross, in which the winner will be crowned the new NXT Women’s Champion.

Match #3: Singles Match – Mercedes Martinez vs. Ember Moon
Martinez applies a side headlock, but Moon shoves her away. Martinez drops Moon with a shoulder block and applies a side headlock down on the mat. Moon fights to her feet and takes Martinez down to the mat. Moon delivers a dropkick and then a drop toe hold. Moon dropkicks Martinez in the side of the head and goes for the cover, but Martinez kicks out at two. Martinez comes back with a forearm and then a spine-buster. Martinez goes for the cover, but Moon kicks out at two as we head to a break.
Back from the break, Martinez drops Moon with a big chop. Martinez delivers a few suplexes and goes for the cover, but Moon kicks out at two. Martinez goes for a fisherman’s suplex, but Moon counters with a step up enzuiguri. Moon takes Martinez down with a hurricanrana that sends Martinez to the floor. Moon takes Martinez down on the floor with a tope suicida. Moon tosses Martinez back into the ring and climbs up top. Martinez cuts her off with a kick to the head and then drops Moon with a Tower of London out of the corner. Martinez goes for the cover, but Moon kicks out at two. Martinez charges at Moon, but Moon hangs her in the ropes and kicks her in the back. Moon goes up top again and delivers the Eclipse and gets the pin fall.
Winner: Ember Moon.
After the match, Nikki Cross comes through the crowd, Peyton Royce comes to the ring, and Kairi Sane joins them as well. All four women stare each other down.

We see that Drew McIntyre and Andrade “Cien” Almas will meet face-to-face after the break.

Back from the break, we are reminded of next week’s main event: Pete Dunne defending the WWE United Kingdom Championship against Johnny Gargano. We also see that Ruby Riot will go one-on-one with Sonya Deville.

Drew McIntyre’s music hits and the NXT Champion makes his way to the ring. McIntyre says he loves it when a plan comes together and Zelina Vega’s plan has come together. He says he loves the pressure and wonders if Andrade “Cien” Almas will be able to handle the pressure when the lights are bright in Houston. McIntyre says Almas will realize very quickly that he is the mountain that Almas must climb. McIntyre says Almas needs to meet him face-to-face in order to prove something to himself. McIntyre tells Almas to face him like a man, unless Vega won’t let him off of his leash.
Almas’ music hits and Vega makes her way to the stage. Almas appears and he and McIntyre brawl in the ring. Vega gets into the ring, but McIntyre catches her in midair. Almas beats McIntyre down and then drops him with the hammer-lock DDT. Vega picks up the NXT Championship belt and holds it up for Almas. She throws it down onto McIntyre and leaves with Almas as McIntyre is left lying in the ring.
