Video: WWE’s Parody of “Twin Peaks”

Aug 2, 2017 - by Bill Fenbers

WWE recently released a parody of Twin Peaks, titled “Fashion Peaks.”  Not the Twin Peaks currently on SHOWTIME, but the ABC-version that aired from 1990-91.  WWE parodies Agent Cooper’s Black Lodge dream sequence, from Twin Peaks’ first season in 1990.  The parody features Tyler Breeze as he attempts to locate the missing Fandango, who was abducted during the Battleground pay-per-view.

In the video, Tyler Breeze is in front of a board, featuring pictures of WWE stars, captioned with puns that are references to Twin Peaks and other films from creator David Lynch (“Bella Twin Peaks,” “Blue Velvet McIntyre,” and Sting with “Eraserhead”).

Lights flash, and Fandango appears, dressed as the dancing Man from Another Place.  Tyler Breeze soon awakes, screaming “Enough with the Metaphors!  No More Metaphors!”
