Nigel McGuinness on Joining WWE, WWE Introduces UK Tournament Talents (Video), More
As seen above, WWE posted video to introduce the 18 competitors for the tournament to crown the first-ever WWE United Kingdom Champion in January. There will be 2 alternates and 16 tournament participants. Competitors are Trent Seven, Pete Dunne, Tyler Bate, Wolfgang, Tyson T-Bone, Tucker, Jordan Devlin, Roy Johnson, Joseph Conners, HC Dyer, Jack Starz, Sam Gradwell, James Drake, Dan Moloney, Chris Tyler, Saxon Huxley, Ringo Ryan and Tiger Ali.
In the video below, former ROH Champion Nigel McGuinness says it’s surreal, fantastic and very exciting to finally be with WWE. He also talks about the tournament and says it’s going to be very exciting.
Below are videos with “The Bruiserweight” Pete Dunne, who says he’s not your average cruiserweight, and Trent Seven. Dunne says you won’t see him do anything flashy but you will see him beat people. Dunne says this tournament changes everything for them and gives them a chance to show that British wrestling is great too as it has been on the rise for the past few years. Seven calls his style of wrestling British Strong Style and says it’s very high-impact, strike-based and a very aggressive form of wrestling. Seven also warns the cruiserweights not to get in his way.
