Vince McMahon No Longer Bringing Indie Wrestling to WWE Network?

Dec 8, 2016 - by Staff

We noted before that Vince McMahon had decided on bringing at least some “hot indies” to the WWE Network but there was no word on which promotions WWE might have started working with.

In an update, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Vince had given the okay to try and make deals with some indie companies but changed his mind just days later. However, there are still talks going on behind the scenes with the idea that Vince may change his mind again.

It’s no secret that WWE has mentioned indie content in recent surveys and apparently the results of one survey gave Vince the idea that adding live indie shows would add cost to running the Network without any significant increase in subscribers.
