1993 – In a taping for ECW Hardcore TV, Kevin Sullivan and The Tazmaniac defeat Tommy Dreamer and Shane Douglas, to win the NWA-ECW World Tag Team Championship.  Douglas substituted for an injured Johnny Gunn;  after the loss Douglas would turn heel and attack Tommy Dreamer.  The title change would air on television on December 14, 1993.

1995 – In the Monday Night Wars, WWF Monday Night Raw (2.6 TV rating) edges out WCW Monday Nitro (2.4 rating).

2000 – In the Monday Night Wars, WWF Raw Is War (5.0 TV rating) beats WCW Monday Nitro (2.45 rating).  On RAW, William Regal defeats Crash Holly, to win the WWF European Championship.  Regal had lost the title to Crash only two days earlier, at WWF Rebellion in Sheffield, England.  Over on Nitro, commissioner Mike Sanders awards the WCW World Tag Team Championship to The Perfect Event (Shawn Stasiak and Chuck Palumbo), after The Insiders (Kevin Nash and Diamond Dallas Page) are forced to vacate the titles.

2004 – At Ring of Honor All Star Extravaganza II, Johnny Walters defeats Jimmy Rave, to retain the ROH Pure ChampionshipRicky Reyes and Rocky Romero retain the ROH World Tag Team Championship, defeating Chad Collyer and Nigel McGuinness.  And Samoa Joe defeats CM Punk, to retain the ROH World Championship.  Full results of all ten matches can be found here.

2007 – On this evening’s episode of ECW on Sci-Fi, , CM Punk defeats John Morrison, to win the ECW World Championship in a “Last Chance Match.”

2009 – Two time WWE Intercontinental Champion Umaga passes away at age 36, after suffering a heart attack.

2010 – At DREAMWAVE The Fight Before Christmas, Cousin Bobby and Waylon Beck defeat Brett Gakiya and C.J. Esparza, to win the DREAMWAVE Tag Team Championship.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO:  former TNA performer Ronnie Ortiz (31 years old);  former CMLL World Lightweight Champion Kamaitachi (27 years old);  indy wrestler Sasha Darekvo (34 years old);  former WWE performer Sylvester Terkay (46 years old);  Japan wrestling champion Dynamite Kansai (47 years old);  3-time TNA Knockouts Champion (Miss) Brooke Tessmacher (32 years old);  and Tag Team Champion in OVW, FCW, & NXT Viktor from The Ascension (36 years old).
