Notes on Alberto Del Rio, Rey Mysterio, and Cody Rhodes

– Alberto el Patron (Del Rio) will be making his return to AAA on 10/2 working the Heroes Inmortales show in Monterrey teaming with Psycho Clown taking on Dr. Wagner Jr. & Pagano.

– At last night’s AAA TV tapings, Team Trump (Brian Cage/El Mesias/Johnny Mundo) beat Dr. Wagner Jr./Hijo del Texano/Rey Mysterio Jr. when Wagner naturally turned on his partners and Team Trump beat down Texano & Rey after the match until Garza Jr. ran out to make the save. Garza also kissed Taya which made Mundo angry. (thanks to Kris Zellner)

– The CW released a quick 15-second teaser on the upcoming season 5 of Arrow which features a fast glimpse of Cody Rhodes who will be guest starring in an episode. The former WWE Superstar will be featured in the third episode of the new season and in the teaser he’s seen holding The Green Arrow by his neck against a wall. Rhodes has a history with the show’s leading man, Stephen Amell, and the two shared a feud while Rhodes was in the WWE which led to a tag team match at SummerSlam with Amell teaming up with Neville and Rhodes teaming up with King Barrett. The announcement of Rhodes’ appearance in season 5 of Arrow was made during a joint Wrestling Rivals appearance at the Heroes & Villains FanFest held in July at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, New Jersey.
