WWE Backlash Social Score, Cesaro Hypes Match #5 on RAW, Kevin Owens on Defending Internationally (Video)
– In the video below, WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens speaks on being the first man to defend the title overseas after weekend live events in London, Manila and China. Owens says he deserves to be at the top, he is at the top and that’s where he’s going to stay because that’s where he belongs. Owens says wherever they go now, it’s The Kevin Owens Show.
– While the WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view was not included on Nielsen’s social media ratings, last night’s Backlash pay-per-view ranked #2, behind the 2017 Miss America competition. Backlash had 282,000 Twitter interactions with 44,000 unique authors and 278,000 Facebook interactions with 144,000 unique authors. The last WWE pay-per-view to make the list was Battleground, which had 311,000 tweets with 49,000 unique authors. Nielsen was not tracking Facebook activity then.
– As noted, Match #5 in the Best of 7 Series with Cesaro and Sheamus will take place on tonight’s RAW from Baltimore. Cesaro, who is currently down 3-1, tweeted the following on the match:
