Aug 10, 2016 - by Michael Riba

This week’s NXT opens with a shot of Bobby Roode coming out of William Regal’s office. Roode says he appreciates Regal’s time and thanks him again as Regal walks away.

We see the NXT opening video and then we go into the NXT Arena at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida as Tom Phillips and Corey Graves welcome us to the show. Phillips informs us that the NXT Champion Samoa Joe will take on Mojo Rawley later tonight. We head to the ring, where William Regal is already standing. He talks about the upcoming NXT Women’s Championship Natch between the champion, Asuka, and her challenger, Bayley. Bayley’s music hits and she comes to the ring for the contract signing. Regal introduces Asuka, who also makes her way to the ring. Regal says Bayley has wanted this rematch since TakeOver: Dallas and asks her to sign the contract. Bayley says since the day she has stepped foot in NXT she has competed against the very best women in the world like Becky Lynch, Charlotte, Sasha Banks, Paige, and Nia Jax and she was always the underdog. She says the underdog became the champion last year at TakeOver: Brooklyn. Bayley says Brooklyn was her dream and Dallas was her nightmare. Bayley says she wasn’t prepared for the match against Asuka in Dallas, but she is ready this time. She says Asuka is the toughest women she has ever faced, but the Asuka mystique doesn’t faze her anymore. Bayley says she will beat Asuka and become the first ever two-time NXT Women’s Champion.

Asuka says Bayey doesn’t have what it takes and she ruined Bayley’s dreams but she does respect Bayley. Asuka extends her hand for a handshake, but Bayley reminds Asuka that the last time she was in a contract signing, Asuka was left lying on her back. They stare down and sign the contract and Regal announced the match as official. Asuka extends her hand for another handshake, but Bayley shoves Asuka away and leaves the ring. Asuka turns to look at Bayley and then smirks, which causes Bayley to rush the ring and get face-to-face with Asuka. Asuka backs away and raises the NXT Women’s Championship belt in the air before leaving the ring.
