The final night for First Round action in the WWE Cruiserweight Classic opens with highlights of last week’s show. We then see the four matches for tonight: Rich Swann vs. Jason Lee, Gurv Sihra vs. Noam Dar, Jack Gallagher vs. Fabian Aichner, and Johnny Gargano vs. Tommaso Ciampa. We see the Cruiserweight Classic opening video and then we go into the arena where Mauro Ranallo and Daniel Bryan welcome us to the show. We go back to the Cruiserweight Classic Control Room and join Corey Graves. He introduces the first two competitors for tonight, Rich Swann and Jason Lee.

Match #1: First Round Tournament Match: Jason Lee vs. Rich Swann
They tie up and Swann applies a wrist-lock. Lee counters into a headlock takedown, but Swann gets free of it. Lee takes Swann down, but Swann gets up and runs the ropes and takes Lee down with a dropkick. Swann goes for the cover, but Lee kicks out quickly. Swann works over Lee’s arm down on the mat, but Lee fights to his feet. Swann delivers a chop and sends Lee into the corner. Swann charges, but Lee moves and delivers a series of slaps and chops. Lee delivers an enzuiguri and goes for the cover, but Swann kicks out at two. Lee applies a side-headlock down on the match, but Swann fights to his feet. Lee slaps Swann, but Swann snaps and delivers slaps of his own and a spinning backfist. Swann takes Lee to the corner and delivers a hurricanrana and a standing frogsplash. Swann goes for the cover, but Lee kicks out at two. Lee comes back and delivers a face-buster and rolls Swann up, but Swann kicks out at two. Lee charges at Swann, but Swann catches him with a roundhouse kick. Swann drags Lee to the corner and delivers the standing 450 splash and gets the pin fall.
Winner: Rich Swann.
After the match, we see that Rich Swann will take on Lince Dorado in the next round.

We take a look at the new two competitors, Gurv Sihra and Noam Dar.

Match #2: First Round Tournament Match: Gurv Sihra vs. Noam Dar
They tie up and Sihra takes Dar down, but Dar quickly gets up and goes behind Sihra. Sihra reverses and goes behind himself, but Dar comes back with a dropkick to Sihra’s knee. Sihra comes back with a back elbow and a side-headlock takedown. Dar comes back and delivers a dropkick. Dar grabs Sihra, but Sihra sends him to the corner and drives his forearm into Dar’s back. Sihra goes for the cover, but Dar kicks out at two. Dar fights back, but Sihra drives another forearm into Dar’s back. Sihra slams Dar into the corner and goes or it again, but Dar reverses and sends Sihra into the corner. Dar kicks Sihra’s legs out from underneath him and both men are down. Dar gets to his feet and splashes Sihra in the corner and delivers a dropkick. Dar grabs Sihra, but Sihra counters and takes Dar down. Dar slams Gihra into the corner and delivers another dropkick. Dar goes for the cover, but Sihra kicks out at two. Dar goes for the Figure-Four, but Sihra coutners with a roll-up and Dar kicks out. Sihra delivers a spinning heel kick and goes for another cover, but Dar kicks out again. Sihra goes up top and goes for an elbow drop, but Dar moves out of the way. Dar deliver an enzuiguri and connects with a fihserman’s suplex. Dar goes for the cover, but Sihra kicks out and Dar locks in the knee-bar submission and Sihra taps out.
Winner: Noam Dar.
After the match, we see that Dar will face Hoho Lun in the next round.

We take a look at the next two competitors, Jack Gallaher and Fabian Aichner.

Match #3: First Round Tournament Match: Fabian Aichner vs. Jack Gallagher
They tie up and Aichner goes behind. Gallagher reverses into a wrist-lock, but Aichner flips his way out of it and takes Gallagher down and works over Gallagher’s arm. Aichner applies a wrist-lock, but Gallagher beautifully reverses it into his own go-behind wrist-lock. Aichner comes back with a fireman’s carry takedown and works over Gallagher’s arm again. Aichner switches to ocus on Gallagher’s leg, but Gallagher reverses into his own toe hold. Aichner kicks Gallagher in the midsection and takes him down with a snapmare and a shoulder tackle. Gallagher comes back and flips Aichner down to the mat and goes for the cover, but Aichner kicks out at two. Aichner comes back and delivers a chop and then another that sends Gallagher into the ropes. Aichner comes off the ropes with a kick and goes for the cover, but Gallagher kicks out at two. Aichner applies a headlock, but Gallagher fights his way out of it with a roll-up, and Aichner kicks out. They exchange pin falls and kick out at two every time. Aichner delivers a tilt-a-whirl back-breaker and goes for the cover, but Gallagher kicks out at two. Aichner goes up top and connects with a double-springboard moonsault and goes for the cover, but Gallagher kicks out at two. Aichner goes for a suplex, but Gallagher lands on his feet. Gallagher connects with a couple dropkicks and a cross-body to take Aichner down. Gallagher comes off the ropes and locks in the guillotine. Aichner powers out of it and flips Gallagher into a power bomb. Aichner goes for the cover, but Gallagher kicks out at two. Aichner beats down Gallagher on the mat and then goes up top. Aichner goes for a frogsplash, but Gallagher rolls out of the way. Gallagher delivers a headbutt and a running dropkick and gets the pin fall.
Winner: Jack Gallagher.
After the match, we see that Jack Gallagher will take on Akira Tozawa in the next round.

We take a look at the last two competitors for the First Round, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa.

Match #4: First Round Tournament Match: Johnny Gargano vs. Tommaso Ciampa
Gargano and Ciampa tie up. Gargano with a roll through into a singe leg takedown. Ciampa goes for a hip toss, but Gargano counters with a armdrag takedown. Gargano with a crucifix pin attempt for a one count. Gargano applies a armbar. Ciampa lands a big back elbow to Gargano. Ciampa tosses Gargano to the ring apron. Ciampa with a running knee strike that knocks Gargano off the ring apron. Ciampa connects with the knife edge chop. Ciampa places Gargano on the ring apron. Ciampa connects with another running knee strike for a two count. Ciampa with a snap mare into the rear chin lock. Gargano with a back elbow to the chest of Ciampa. Gargano whips Ciampa to the corner. Gargano lands on the ring apron. Ciampa connects with another back elbow to Gargano. Gargano responds with a enziguri. Gargano follows that up with a Slingshot DDT for a two count. Ciampa gets Gargano in the fireman’s carry position and ascends to the top rope. Ciampa goes for the Death Valley Driver, but Gargano blocks it. Gargano goes for a sunset flip powerbomb, but Ciampa stands still on the top rope. Gargano with a superkick to Ciampa. Gargano plants Ciampa with a running sitout powerbomb for a two count. Ciampa rolls out of the ring. Gargano connects with the suicide dive. Ciampa drops Gargano with a leaping knee strike for a two count. Gargano and Ciampa battle on the ring apron. Ciampa plants Gargano with the Air-Raid Crash for a two count. Ciampa follows that up with a Lung Blower for a two count. Ciampa slaps Gargano in the face. Gargano with a superkick to Ciampa. Ciampa goes for a discus lariat, but Gargano counters with a rolling crucifix and gets the pin fall.
Winner: Johnny Gargano.
After the match, we see that Gargano will face TJ Perkins in the next round. Gargano wants to shake hands with Ciampa after the match, but Ciampa denies his request and leaves the ring. Ciampa stops on the apron and gets back into the ring as Gargano is sitting on the mat. Ciampa sits down beside him and hugs Gargano and congratulates him as the First Round of the WWE Cruiserweight Classic comes to a close.
