Alex Wright’s promotion announces an international TV Deal

German Wrestling League NEW signing international TV-deal – TV premiere this Friday, June 16th, 2016 at 22:00 CET!

During the last years, wrestling has become more and more popular in Germany and generates constantly more enthusiastic fans. Currently major US promotions are the market leader in Germany and other countries around the world.

This could, however, change in the future.

In 2009 former international WCW wrestling superstar and three-time WCW World Champion Alex Wright founded, after his nearly ten-year stay in the USA, New European Championship Wrestling (NEW). Since 2011, the promotion regularly organizes shows in the N.E.W. HotSpot, the only individual equipped Wrestling Hall in Germany.

As first German Wrestling promotion ever, NEW signed an international TV-Deal. With “Fightbox HD” NEW found a strong long-term partner for our common future. This is a big and important milestone for the wrestling sport in Germany.

Fightbox HD is powered by SPi International and is a global cable channel with a large range of programs of combat sports from around the world. NEW is scheduled among others like the famous american wrestling-promotion “Ring of Honor”, most important Japanese Promotion “New Japan Pro Wrestling” or the biggest kickboxing league in the world, “Glory”. In addition to various tapings, other events and live shows are in development and will be organized and transmitted aside several other broadcasts, additional shows and live events.

Fightbox HD will premiere “NEW Extreme IV” on Friday, Jun. 3, 2016 at 22:00 CET. The replay broadcasts on Sunday at 18:10.

Therefore NEW European Championship Wrestling can be received as the first and only German wrestling promotion in the United States, England, Poland, Bulgaria, Turkey, India, Slovakia, Czech Republic, France, Romania, the Middle East, North Africa, Thailand and Swiss on the TV.
