Batista Reportedly Turns Down WrestleMania 32 Role

Feb 3, 2016 - by Staff

– Former WWE Champion Batista was backstage visiting at last week’s WWE SmackDown tapings in Tampa, Florida, where he lives.

Vince McMahon and other WWE officials reportedly pitched the idea of having Batista appear at WrestleMania 32 as a special referee, according to PWInsider, perhaps for the Roman Reigns vs. Triple H main event.

Batista appreciated the invitation but turned down the offer. Batista does not want to return for a match or a WrestleMania moment just for the sake of making an appearance. When and if he does return to WWE, he would prefer something more like a final run with some meaning behind it.
