S&P Dow Jones Indices Selects WWE For S&P Smallcap Index

STAMFORD, Conn., January 20, 2016 – S&P Dow Jones Indices has added WWE (NYSE: WWE) to the S&P SmallCap 600 Index effective after the close of trading today.

“We are pleased to be recognized by the S&P and added to the S&P SmallCap 600 Index,” said WWE Chief Strategy & Financial Officer George Barrios. “The selection by the S&P further highlights our industry leadership, earnings growth, and the long-term potential of our global business.”

The S&P SmallCap 600 measures the small-cap segment of the U.S. equity market. The Index is designed to track companies that meet specific inclusion criteria to ensure that they are liquid and financially viable.

– As noted, John Cena posted a caption-less AJ Styles photo to Instagram this morning. WWE’s website picked up on the post and wrote the following:

“John Cena’s latest Instagram post has the WWE Universe buzzing. The 15-time World Champion posted a picture of AJ Styles on his Instagram account early Wednesday morning, fueling speculation about Styles’ WWE status. Cena is known for posting off-kilter pictures on his Instagram, the significance of which isn’t always apparent, but does the Cenation leader know something we don’t in this instance? Could this mean the rumors of AJ Styles heading to WWE are true? Or is Cena just fanning the flames?”
