I was at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow for tonight’s NXT event. I had VIP tickets for a meet & greet and it was implied that we would meet our favourite superstars but it was actually only Blake and Murphy. Lots of disappointed people expecting more than that given the high prices we paid.

There was a very different crowd to last month for WWE Live. Crowd are very into the show, much more of the 18-34 demographic in attendance. Only a couple sections tarped off, I’d say over 10,000 in attendance. Great crowd.

* Enzo & Cass (with Carmella) beat Blake & Murphy. I’ve never experienced a crowd reaction like Enzo & Cass’ intro. It was off the charts, I had goosebumps. Crowd was so in to the match.

* Bull Dempsey defeated Tye Dillinger. Crowd had some very creative chants for Bull.

They showed a TLC advert which was drowned out by an NXT chant!

* Asuka defeated Alexa Bliss. Asuka was over big time again. Neat finish into the crossface chicken wing.

* Neville defeated Baron Corbin. Great competitive match. Corbin has the big star feel to him.

William Regal made a surprise appearance and spoke highly of the talent and fans for making NXT. Great to see him post surgery.

* Dash & Dawson retained the Tag Titles against Jordan & Gable. I feel like I’m repeating this over and over but Gable & Jordan were crazy over with the crowd. Jordan is a superstar.

* Bayley beat Emma with the Bayley to Belly. Cannot stress enough how talented she is. Nia Jax came out post match but took a powder before they came to blows.

* Samoa Joe beat Apollo Crews. Joe was over big, if that’s a sign of his heel turn, it didn’t work! Clean win with the Muscle Buster.

* Finn Balor pinned Sami Zayn with the Coup de Grace. Phenomenal match from start to finish. Both had a massive support from the crowd, especially Balor with his ICW background. Balor mimicked Grado a few times during the match.

Fom an in-ring and entertainment standpoint, this was a sensational night. If you ever get to see NXT live, take the chance. It’s the best value in wrestling action. Just the best.
