1. Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady defeated Blake and Murphy.

2. Bull Dempsey defeated Tye Dillinger.

3. Asuka defeated Alexa Bilss. Asuka well over with the “Asuka’s gonna kill you” chants!! Alexa is stunning in person I might add but we’re here for the wrestling.

4. Samoa Joe defeated Apollo Crews. Both were popular, but Joe won the chant battles. Apparently Newcastle love the “kill you” chants and “Balor’s gonna kill you” very popular again. Joe works his ass off in the ring considering how athletic Apollo is.

Intermission

Hugely emotional and proud William Regal came out to what will surely be the pop of the night and thanked the crowd. “50 people in our shows when this begun, look at us now”… Truly amazing moment.

5. Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson beat Chad Gable and Jason Jordan to retain the NXT Tag team Championship. Dash and Dawson won with a roll up after Gable was distracted. Again, Jordan was hugely over

Great crowd. Full credit for the noise. Raw and Smackdown take note

6. Bayley defeated Emma to retain the NXT Women’s Championship. House show match as you’d expect with Bayley coming back to pick up the win. Aussie in Newcastle great to see Emma in person she’s a cracker. The wacky thingies were present, which always makes you happy.. How can you not love Bayley?!? Jax confronted Bayley after her match but retreated from the ring apron… Good pay day for Jax

7. Neville over Baron Corbin. The reaction for Neville in his hometown almost matched Regal’s introduction but not quite… No surprise. What move he won the match with.

8. Finn Balor defeated Sami Zayn to retain the NXT Championship. Seriously, how lucky are we to get the return match from Sami?!? “Welcome back” chants before the match. Very 50/50 crowd. Balor threw plenty of chops for the expected Woooosss. Zayn performed his amazing move over the ropes. He’s clearly come back in great shape (looks stronger as well). Balor hit Zayn seven times trying to go for his finisher, but each time Sami got back to his feet before the move and went all Hulk on us. The crowd ate it up with “This is awesome” sung around the arena. Balor finally hit the finisher to retain the title. Most the crowd seemed surprised he won straight forward, but it’s what you would expect I guess… maybe a Joe run in might have made more sense given the mixed crowd.

Balor and Zayn hugged to end what was a truly cracking show with an amazing card and feel. I feel lucky to have witnessed that. Raw has lost me and NXT is all I’ll be watching until they pull their finger out.
