WWE – Comic Con News and Notes: Sami Zayn’s Ring Return, Stars Getting Their First Figures, More
– As noted, William Regal, NXT Champion Finn Balor, Charlotte, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens appeared at the San Diego Comic Con with Mattel today. Balor was a late addition as he was not announced ahead of time. Below are some notes, quotes and photos from their panel:
* Mattel will be releasing special edition figures of Hollywood Hulk Hogan, Sting from The Great American Bash 1990 and a “Defining Moments” release for The Undertaker in the next year. They’re also working on new figures for Stephanie McMahon and Tyson Kidd, among others
* For the first time ever, Mattel will be releasing figures of Balor, Charlotte, Owens, Sami Zayn, Bayley, NXT Women’s Champion Sasha Banks, The APA, J&J Security, The Godfather, Hideo Itami, Kalisto, The Ascension, British Bulldog and Dean Malenko soon
* Sami Zayn, who is no longer wearing a sling, was asked about returning to the ring and he said he does not have a timetable yet but he’s looking to be back in action late 2015 or early 2016. Sami added that his recovery is going well
