Local Reaction to WrestleMania 31, More on the Brock Lesnar Blading Speculation, Big Success for NXT
– Regarding speculation on Brock Lesnar possibly blading at WrestleMania 31, we noted that WWE issued a statement denying it and several sources within WWE also say Vince McMahon did not sign off on it and that it just didn’t happen. The last person to be caught blading was Batista and he was reportedly fined $100,000.
– Santa Clara and San Jose city officials were very happy with how everything went with WrestleMania 31. While WrestleMania likely won’t come back to that area for a while, city officials were talking about putting up a bid that nobody else can match to bring WrestleMania back in 8 years or so.
– The Friday night WWE NXT live event in San Jose during WrestleMania weekend drew a sellout of 4,700 fans for $200,000. This is almost 4 times the previous NXT record.
