Former WWE NXT Star Says Bill DeMott Was a Good Trainer, Comments on His WWE Release, More

Mar 23, 2015 - by Marc Middleton

– Former WWE NXT talent Jody Kristofferson, who was known as Garrett Dylan and is the son of actor Kris Kristofferson, recently appeared on The Roman Show and commented on the Bill DeMott controversies:

“I’ve been getting a lot of questions about this. There are a lot of mixed feelings. He could be a hard ass. He was a hard trainer, but he was getting paid to be a hard trainer. It’s like when you go to the military they are not training you to be your friend, they are training you to go to war. Was Bill rough at times? Yea. But I learned from Bill. There were times where we butted heads but he made me a better wrestler. I don’t believe he deserved to get fired or if he stepped down. He was good at what he did.”

He also commented on getting released in 2014 and staying in touch with guys like Bray Wyatt:

“That was my dream to work for the WWE. It hurt when I was let go. But I was glad it happened because I traveled all over the world and got to show what I can do. I still have a lot of growing to do, physically and mentally.”

“I am still in contact with those guys. Bray Wyatt told me, ‘hey everyone gets let go and rehired. Don’t give up, you’ll be back here.'”
