9/20 NXT Live In Daytona Beach, FL Results

Sep 21, 2014 - by staff

Before the action started, Alexa Bliss, Bayley, Angelo Dawkins, and Colin Cassidy signed autographs for the estimated crowd of 400.

Jojo was our ring announcer for the evening, & did a wonderful rendition of the National Anthem.

Jason Jordan def. Dash Wilder

Tye Dillinger def. Elias Sampson.  Dillinger’s new character is creepy, even to the point he made a young boy cry when he left the ring after the match.  They also need to find him some new theme music, as it sounds like speaker feedback that was very hard to listen to.

In a divas tag team match, Alexa Bliss and Bayley def. Sasha Banks and Dana Brooke.  As was noted from the report for the Orlando show the previous night, Sasha Banks and Bayley are the most “main-roster ready.”  Alexa Bliss is getting much better in the ring from the last time she competed here.

Baron Corbin def. CJ Parker in a good competitive match.

After the intermission, NXT Women’s Champion Charlotte def. Becky Lynch in a Non-Title Match after hitting the Natural Selection.

Colin Cassidy def. Marcus Louis after hitting a big boot, knocking the headgear and toupee of of Louis’ BAWLD head.

In an upset, Angelo Dawkins a pinfall victory on Bull Dempsey after a sunset flip.  After the match, Dempsey vented his frustrations by attacking Dawkins.  He hit two diving head butts from the top rope.  He was about to do a third before the referees stepped in.

In the Main Event, former NXT Tag Team Champions, The Ascension defeated the Vaudevillians after hitting The Fall of Man.  The Ascension by far was the most over with the crowd tonight.

Other Notes:

A return date was announced for Saturday, November 8th.

Frequent NXT commentator Rich Brennan was the timekeeper.

The main agents with the group tonight were Terry Taylor and Sara del Rey.
