– Smackdown 9/5/14

University of Nebraska

Smackdown opens as John Cena makes his way to the ring with the usual mixed reaction. Cena says he will face Brock Lesnar in less than three weeks, at Night of Champions and all the talk about how, or if he has changed will stop. Cena mentions that he’s been in the company for 12 years with thousands of matches under his belt and after just one match, everyone in the back feels he is at the end of his rope. He says The Authority is treating him like a fragile old man that should be brought out to make the queen’s wave because that is what’s best for business. Cena says he is a WWE Superstar because he fights and he fights because he wants to be the WWE Champion which is the symbol of excellence in this business. Cena calls Brock Lesnar the most destructive force that has ever been unleashed in the WWE and has destroyed everyone in his path since 2012 and that Paul Heyman is telling the truth when he calls Lesnar the Beast Incarnate. Cena vows to get redemption at Night of Champions and goes on to say that if HHH lines them up, he will knock them down, and you can see it all on the WWE Network for $9.99

The music cuts off Cena. Enter Corporate Kane and Seth Rollins. Kane claims Cena is losing it while Rollins accuses him of having a mid-career crisis and compares him to an old man who buys a lot of sports cars. Cena mockingly laughs their jabs because he is getting psychological advice from a hell raising demon who has a dead guy for a brother and the poster boy for Men’s Warehouse. Cena also refers to Rollins as Mr. Plan B and tells him to shut up and get in corner because the grownups are talking. Kane reminds Cena that he has a position of powers and he can put Cena in a match that will test his limits. Roman Reigns enters the fold and says he will finish his business with Randy Orton on Raw this coming Monday, but since he is not here tonight, he can focus his attention of the two cooperate suck ups. Cena says he is down with that and Rollins reminds them that The Authority is ten steps ahead of them.

The Wyatt Family appears out of nowhere, in support of Rollins and Kane. “BREAK THE WALL DOWN” hits the airwaves and Chris Jericho comes out, and he has backup in the form of Mark Henry and The Big Show. Kane, Rollins, and The Wyatts are surrounded until HHH comes out, complains about his busy work and makes tonight’s ten man tag team main event. HHH kept calling everyone playa and left with Teddy Long’s theme music.
