WWE SummerSlam Coverage: Jericho vs. Wyatt

Bray Wyatt vs. Chris Jericho

Wyatt and Jericho exchange right hands before Jericho drops Wyatt with a clothesline. Wyatt goes to the apron, but Jericho kicks him down to the floor. Back in the ring, Jericho takes Wyatt down with a cross-body from the top rope and goes for the cover, but Wyatt kicks out at one. Jericho gets on the top rope again, but Wyatt comes back and shoves him down to the floor. Wyatt goes after Jericho and delivers a series of knees to Jericho’s face against the barricade. Wyatt knocks Jericho down with a right hand and then knees Jericho’s head against the steel steps. Wyatt rolls Jericho back into the ring and delivers a few right hands to Jericho. Wyatt slams Jericho shoulder-first into the ring post. Wyatt drops to the floor and punches Jericho’s head against the ring post. Wyatt then smashes Jericho’s head against the ring post with a modified standing splash. Wyatt gets back into the ring and pulls Jericho against the ropes. Wyatt applies a submission to Jericho and then slams him to the mat. Jericho fights to his feet and fights out. Wyatt sends Jericho off the ropes, but Jericho counters with a kick, a few chops, and a forearm shot. Jericho takes Wyatt down with an enzuiguri and goes for the cover, but Wyatt kicks out at one. Wyatt gets back to his feet and drops Jericho with a clothesline. Wyatt splashes down onto Jericho and goes for the cover, but Jericho kicks out at two. Wyatt smashes Jericho in the corner and tries it a second time, but Jericho counters with a dropkick. Jericho goes for the cover, but Wyatt kicks out at two. Wyatt comes back and slams Jericho down to the mat and goes for the cover, but Jericho kicks out at two. Wyatt delivers a series of elbows to Jericho’s face and then goes to the corner. Wyatt hangs upside down in the corner and then goes for Sister Abigail, but Jericho counters with a roll-up, but only gets a two count. Jericho applies the Walls of Jericho to Wyatt, but Wyatt gets to the bottom rope. Jericho goes after Wyatt again, but Wyatt tosses him out to the floor. Wyatt slams Jericho face-first onto the ring apron. Wyatt gets back into the ring and goes for the cover, but Jericho kicks out at two. Wyatt delivers a headbutt to Jericho and then drags him to the corner. Wyatt gets on the ropes, but Jericho cuts him off. Jericho takes Wyatt down with a head-scissors take down from the top rope. Jericho goes for the cover, but Wyatt kicks out at two. Jericho clotheslines Wyatt in the corner and then dropkicks him in the center of the ring. Jericho sets up for the lionsault, but Wyatt does his creepy back-bend and Jericho is frozen in place. Wyatt tells Jericho he cannot die, because he is already dead. Wyatt charges at Wyatt, but Jericho counters with the Codebreaker. Wyatt kicks out at two. Wyatt goes to the outside and Jericho launches at him, but Wyatt delivers a thumb to Jericho’s throat. Wyatt delivers Sister Abigail to Jericho into the barricade. Wyatt tosses Jericho back into the ring and stalks around the ring. Wyatt delivers Sister Abigail in the ring and gets the pin fall.
Winner: Bray Wyatt.

After the match, Wyatt gets a microphone and says that Jericho found out what it means to follow the buzzards. Wyatt then leads the crowd in singing “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands.”

We see the video hype package for the feud between Brie Bella and Stephanie McMahon.
