1995 – Keiji Mutoh won the NJPW G1 Climax Tournament, defeating Shinya Hashimoto in the final

1999 – Manabu Nakanishi won the NJPW G1 Climax Tournament, defeating Keiji Mutoh in the final

2004 – Hiroyoshi Tenzan won the NJPW G1 Climax Tournament, defeating Hiroshi Tanahashi in the final

2005 – Ashley Massaro won the WWE Diva Search. Other participants included Kristal Marshall

2011 – WWE announced that referee Mike Chioda was suspended for 30 days due to a violation of the WWE Wellness Policy.  Tough Enough winner Andy Leavine was also suspended for violating the policy


In 1982, WCCW Wrestling Star Wars was held at the Reunion Arena, in Dallas, Texas. With an attendance of 18,000:

In 2010, WWE Summerslam was held at the Staples Center, in Los Angeles, California for the 2nd year running. With the attendance of 14,178. I was at this event. Was a really fun show. I had been driving immediately before the show, so I wasn’t aware had spoiled Daniel Bryan’s return to the company. So it was try a huge surprise when his music played. To date it’s the only SSlam of the 5 they’ve done in LA in a row. This year will be the 6th straight. I live approximately 2 hours North, & they normally do the Smackdown taping 2 days later here:

– Dolph Ziggler (with Vickie Guerrero) fought Kofi Kingston to a no contest due to interference from The Nexus (Ziggler retained the WWE Intercontinental Title)

– Big Show defeated The Straight Edge Society (Luke Gallows, Joseph Mercury, & CM Punk) (with Serena) in a 3 on 1 Handicap Match
– Randy Orton defeated Sheamus via DQ (Sheamus retained the WWE Title)
– Kane defeated Rey Mysterio Jr. to retain the World Heavyweight Title

In 2013, TNA Impact: Hardcore Justice ’13 was held at the Constant Center, in Norfolk, Virginia. Unlike years past, this was a Special on Spike TV, & not a PPV. This was a dual taping. The 2nd half of the taping would air a week later on Aug. 22nd:
