1977 – Hulk Hogan wrestled his 1st professional match against Brian Blair

2007 – World Wrestling Entertainment released developmental talent Tomasso Whitney today.  Tomasso had been doing a Rick Martel-esque heel gimmick in Ohio Valley Wrestling carrying around a spray bottle. He now competes in ROH as Tomasso Ciampa

2011 – Mike Pavone, the Executive Vice President of WWE Studios, left the company

2011 – Stan Hansen’s official autobiography was released by Crowbar Press

2014 – Kazuchika Okada won the NJPW G1 Climax 24 Tournament, defeating Shinsuke Nakamura in the final


In 1996, WCW Hog Wild was held at the motorcycle rally in Sturgis, South Dakota. With an attendance of 5,000. This was the 1st & only Hog Wild event, though the lineage would continue with 1997′s Road Wild. The promotional poster featured ‘Hulkamania’ Hulk Hogan despite the fact that he had joined the nWo 1 month prior:

1992 – Reno Riggins defeated Brian Christopher for the USWA Southern Heavyweight Title in Memphis, Tennessee. On the same show, The Moondogs (Spot & Cujo) defeated Jerry Lawler & Jeff Jarrett for the USWA Tag Team Title

1992 – The Heavenly Bodies (Stan Lane & Tom Prichard) defeated The Fantastics (Bobby & Jackie Fulton) to win the SMW Tag Team Titles

2002 – the WWE Hardcore Title is passed from Tommy Dreamer to Shawn Stasiak, to Steven Richards, & back to Dreamer

2002 – Star defeated Jimmy Rave to win the NWA Junior Heavyweight Title
