Biography

– Roberts made a somewhat accidental start to her wrestling career. Whilst training to be an EMT, she heard that her childhood crush, Gino Hernandez, needed a valet for a WCCW show. Roberts volunteered and so her career began
– Roberts wrestled for the rest of 1984 under a mis-spelling of her real name, ‘Nicola Roberts’
– In 1985, she joined JCP, becoming Baby Doll and managing Tully Blanchard
– In 1986, Baby Doll became the manager of Dusty Rhodes. The duo feuded with The Four Horsemen and The Midnight Express.
– On August 9, 1986, Doll turned on Rhodes, helping Ric Flair to retain his NWA World Title. She briefly managed Flair before being fired by JCP
– In 1987, Doll had a brief stint in Herb Abrams’ UWF, managing her real-life husband Sam Houston
– In 1988, Doll returned to JCP to manage Larry Zbyszko, but was released after her husband secured a job with the WWF
– In late 1988, Doll tried out for the re-launched WWF Womens Division, but failed to secure a contract
– Roberts retired from wrestling in 1992 following the birth of her second child
– In 2005, Doll returned to wrestling, accompanying Jeff Jarrett to the ring at an indy event
– Doll continues to make infrequent indy appearances, primarily in the southern states.
