1993 – Terri Boatwright & Dustin Runnels best known as Goldust & Marlena, were married

1993 – Jim Cornette, the head of SMW at the time, debuted for the WWF during a TV taping in Alexandria Bay, NY  Cornette, greeted by Bobby Heenan, goes on to become the “American Spokesperson” for Yokozuna and manage his SMW charges, The Heavenly Bodies, who debut the same night.


In 1999, WWF Fully Loaded was held at Marine Midland Arena, in Buffalo, New York. With an attendance of 16,605:

– Val Venis defeated Joey Abs
– The Godfather defeated Meat
– Christian defeated Viscera
– Jeff Jarrett (with Debra) defeated Edge to win the WWF Intercontinental Title, thus becoming the first 5-time Intercontinental Champion
– The Acolytes (Bradshaw & Faarooq) defeated The Hardy Boyz (Matt & Jeff) & Michael Hayes in a Handicap Tag Team Match to win the WWF Tag Team Titles
– D’Lo Brown defeated Mideon to win the WWF European Title
– The Big Boss Man defeated Al Snow to win the WWF Hardcore Title
– The Big Show defeated Kane (with Hardcore Holly as the guest referee)
– Ken Shamrock defeated Steve Blackman in an Iron Circle Match
– Road Dogg & X-Pac defeated Mr. Ass & Chyna to win the rights to the ‘D-Generation X’ name
– Triple H (with Chyna) defeated The Rock in a Strap Match
– Steve Austin defeated The Undertaker in a First Blood Match to win the WWF Title. As a result, Vince McMahon is no longer permitted to appear on WWF television

1953 – Blue Demon defeated El Santo to win the NWA World Welterweight Title in Mexico City, Mexico

1955 – Frank Jares defeated Sonny Myers to win the NWA Southern Junior Heavyweight Title in Birmingham, Alabama.

1958 – Sonny Myers won a tournament final to win the  Central States Heavyweight Title in St. Joseph, Missouri

1966 – Tony Borne defeated Louie Tillet to win the Texas Brass Knuckles Title

1977 – Captain USA (A masked Big John Studd) defeated Bruiser Brody to win the WCCW American Heavyweight Title

1980 – Ken Mantell defeated Wahoo McDaniel to win the vacant MSW Louisiana Title

1981 – Eddie Gilbert & Ricky Morton defeated Ed Wiskowski & Mike George to win the TSW Tag Team Titles

1983 – Jimmy Garvin defeated Kevin von Erich to win the vacant WCCW American Heavyweight Title

1983 – Jerry Lawler defeated Ken Patera to win the AWA International Heavyweight Title in Memphis, Tennessee

1984 – Bull Nakano defeated Itsuki Yamazaki to win the All Japan Singles Title in Yamato, Japan

1988 – Steve & Shaun Simpson defeated John Tatum & Jack Victory to win the WCCW Texas Tag Team Titles

1997 – Gary Albright & Steve Williams defeated Johnny Ace & Kenta Kobashi to win the AJPW Unified World Tag Team Titles

2004 – Atlantis & Blue Panther defeated Los Guerreros del Infierno (Rey Bucanero & Ultimo Guerrero) to win the CMLL Tag Team Titles

2011 – Rey Mysterio Jr. defeated The Miz in the final of a tournament to win the ‘vacant’ WWE Title, though John Cena would defeat him later in the show to win the title. Throughout all this, CM Punk is also champion, as he ‘left the company’ with the title around one week previously
