We see the opening video for Bound for Glory, which focuses on the feud for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship between Bully Ray and A.J. Styles, with Dixie Carter’s inclusion.

We go live into the Viejas Arena in San Diego, California, and Mike Tenay and Taz welcome us to the show.

TNA X Division Championship Five-Man Ultimate X Match: Manik (c) vs. Austin Aries vs. Chris Sabin (w/Velvet Sky) vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Samoa Joe
All five guys begin brawling on the outside. Sabin and Manik get back into the ring and Sabin sets Manik up in the corner, but Joe cuts Sabin off. Joe nails Sabin with a huge series of right hands. Joe gets sent to the outside and Sabin goes back to work on Manik. Hardy begins to climb the steel structure, but Aries does as well. Hardy climbs down and join the brawl with Sabin and Manik, but Manik takes Hardy and Sabin down with a double-hurricanrana. Manik locks in a submission on Sabin, but Aries gets into the ring and clubs Manik in the back. Aries goes to work on Manik’s legs. Hardy gets back into the ring and slams Aries down to the mat. Hardy rolls to the outside and grabs a ladder from under the ring. Joe comes out of nowhere and takes Hardy down with a suicide dive. Joe grabs the ladder, but Sabin baseball slides the ladder into Joe’s face. Manik kicks Sabin in the back of the head, and then Aries flies and takes out Manik and Joe. Aries is alone in the ring and climbs across the ropes for the title, but Manik gets back into the ring and pulls Aries off the ropes. Manik takes Aries out of the ring with a hurricanrana and then sends Sabin to the outside as well. Joe gets Aries back into the ring and beats him down in the corner and delivers a series of lefts and rights. Joe goes for the Muscle Buster, but Aries counters with a Crucifixion. Manik gets on the ropes and goes for the title, but Joe grabs him and pulls him into an Atomic Drop. Joe splashes Manik in the middle of the ring. Sabin delivers a dropkick to Joe. Hardy delivers Whisper in the Wind to Sabin. Hardy goes to the outside and grabs the ladder and brings it into the ring. Hardy sets up the ladder and he and Joe begin to climb it. Joe punches Hardy off the ladder and reaches for the title, but Aries dropkicks the ladder and Joe falls down to the mat. Manik and Aries get on the ladder and battle for the belt, but Sabin gets up and tips over the ladder. Hardy and Sabin battle and Sabin puts Velvet Sky into the ring. Sabin shoves Velvet towards Hardy and Hardy moves her as Sabin climbs the ladder. Sabin grabs the title and hits Hardy with it and drops to the ring.

We take a look back at one of A.J. Styles’ career highlights, when he won the X Division Championship for the first time in 2002.

Bad Influence’s music hits and Christopher Daniels and Kazarian make their way to the ring. Kazarian says Bad Influence has been screwed and it is an embarrassment that they are not wrestling for the Tag Team Championship. Daniels says he has a way TNA can make it up to them. Daniels says they that should be added to the Tag Team Championship match and then Eric Young’s music hits. Young comes to the ring and says Daniels and Kazarian created a monster earlier tonight and that they should run. Daniels and Kazarian attack Young and Abyss’ music hits. Abyss comes to the ring and destroys Daniels and Kazarian. Abyss helps Young to his feet as we head backstage.

Jeremy Borash is backstage and his guests are the TNA World Tag Team Champions, Gunner and James Storm. Gunner says The Bro-Mans earned their shot but they need to worry about a fight tonight. Gunner says he only sees to bros when he looks at Robbie E and Jessie Godderz, but he sees two men when he looks at himself and James Storm. Storm says The Bro-Mans got lucky and they better hope they are good. Storm ends it with, “Sorry, about your damn luck.”

TNA World Tag Team Championship Match: Gunner and James Storm (c) vs. The Bro-Mans (Jessie Godderz and Robbie E) (w/Mr. Olympia)
Gunner and Storm quickly take down Robbie and Godderz and take control of the match. Gunner sends Storm over the top rope and down onto Robbie and Godderz. Back in the ring, Storm works over Godderz for a bit before tagging in Gunner. Godderz gets away and tags in Robbie, who takes control of Gunner. Robbie takes Gunner to the corner and drives his shoulder into Gunner’s midsection and tags in Godderz. Godderz goes for the cover, but Gunner kicks out at two. Godderz slams Gunner down and tags in Robbie, who applies a headlock to Gunner. Robbie takes Gunner to the corner and slaps him across the face, but Gunner fights out and deliver a running knee left to Robbie. Robbie comes back as Godderz takes Storm down off the apron. Robbie tags in Godderz, who keeps control over Gunner for a few minutes. Godderz takes Gunner to the corner, but Gunner counters and delivers a fall-away slam to Godderz. Robbie and Storm get tagged in and Storm drops Godderz and Robbie with punches and kicks. Storm drops Robbie with a neck-breaker and goes for the cover, but Robbie kicks out at two. Robbie knees Gunner in the midsection and then the Bro-Mans double-team Storm in the corner. Gunner gets back up and drops Robbie with an Electric Chair. Storm suplexes Godderz down onto Robbie and goes for the cover, but Godderz kicks out at two. Storm has a nasty gash on his leg, but goes for the Eye of the Storm on Robbie. Robbie escapes and drops Storm with a DDT. Robbie goes for the cover, but Storm kicks out at two. Gunner drops Robbie with a back-breaker. Storm kicks Robbie in the face and Gunner goes for the cover, but Godderz breaks it up at two. Storm drives his knees into Godderz’ chest and sets up for the Last Call. Robbie distracts the referee with the title belt and then clotheslines Storm from the top. The Bro-Mans hit Storm with their double-team finisher and get the win.

We look at the highlights from last night’s TNA Hall of Fame Dinner, where the honored guest was Kurt Angle.

Jeremy Borash is in the ring and brings out TNA’s first Hall of Fame member, Sting. Sting says he loved being inducted into the Hall of Fame last year and he knows this is a special night for Kurt Angle. Sting brings out Angle, who gets a huge ovation from the crowd. Angle thanks God, his family, and the fans and says that this induction means more to him than we’ll ever know. The crowd chants “Thank You Angle!” Angle says he cannot say the words to do justice for the love and support that he has received from TNA. Sting says he would love it if Angle would make it official right now and join him in the Hall of Fame. Sting hands Angle a watch similar to the one that Dixie Carter gave Sting when he was inducted. Angle says he feels like he has let everyone down bu not living up to his full potential. Angle says he is declining the Hall of Fame induction. Angle says he will accomplish more than he ever has before and when he does, he will join Sting in the Hall of Fame. Angle gives the watch back to Sting and they share a hug and leave the ring together.

We take a look at another of A.J. Styles’ career highlights, when he defeated Kurt Angle at No Surrender 2009 for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

Dixie Carter is backstage and she receives a phone call. She tells the person that she wants all of Styles’ merchandise marked down and blown off the shelves. Ethan Carter III walks up and Dixie tells him she has picked the perfect opponent for him.

TNA Women’s Knockout Championship Three-Way Match: ODB (c) vs. Brooke vs. Gail Kim
Brooke gets into ODB’s face, but ODB smacks her a drops her with a fall-away slam. ODB slams Gail into the turnbuckle and then Brooke takes control of ODB. ODB comes back and knocks Brooke down to the ring. Gail gets back into the ring and goes for the cover, but it is broken up. Gail goes to splash into ODB in the corner, but Brooke sends her to the outside. Brooke drops ODB with a face-buster and goes for the cover, but ODB kicks out at two. Brooke delivers a few cross-face shots to ODB, but ODB picks her up and backs her into the corner. Brooke counters and takes ODB down with a swinging neck-breaker. Brooke goes for the cover, but ODB kicks out at two. Gail grabs Brooke and locks her in the Figure Four around the ring post. Gail gets into the ring, but ODB takes her down with a Spear. ODB grabs Brook and locks in a half-Boston Crab. Gail gets back into the match and kicks ODB in the back. Gail delivers a dropkick to ODB from the top, and Brooke delivers an elbow drop to Gail. ODB gets back to her feet and rops Gail and Brooke with shoulder blocks. ODB drops Gail with a suplex and goes for the cover, but Brooke breaks it up at two. We have a ref bump and the referee falls to the floor. ODB gets Gail and Brooke on her shoulders and slams them down on top of each other. Lei’D Tapa’s music hits and she stands on the ramp. ODB charges at her, but Tapa drops ODB with a big boot. Brooke goes after Tapa, but Tapa power bombs Brooke from the outside into the ring. Gail goes for the cover on Brooke and gets it as Tapa looks on.
Winner and new TNA Women’s Knockout Champion: Gail Kim.
After the match, Lei’D Tapa grabs the title belt and hands it to Gail and raises her hand.

We see The Bro-Mans celebrating backstage. They celebrate by spewing protein shakes everywhere. We then see Jeremy Borash backstage and he is interviewing Bobby Roode. Roode says it is shocking that Kurt Angle turned down the Hall of Fame, but what he said on Impact was true. Roode says he made Angle tap out and he will prove that he is a better wrestler again and will make Angle tap out again, because “it pays to be Roode.”

Bobby Roode vs. Kurt Angle

Roode quickly takes Angle down to the mat with a fireman’s carry takedown. Angle goes behind Roode and goes for a suplex, but Roode gets free. Roode takes control of the match, but Angle rolls to the outside. Angle gets back into the ring and picks Roode’s ankle and goes for the Ankle Lock, but Roode counters and sends Angle back to the outside. Angle gets back into the ring and grabs Roode and delivers a suplex. Roode rolls to the outside, but Angle follows him out. Roode and Angle slug it out on the outside. Roode slams Angle face-first into the ring apron. Roode lays Angle on the ring apron and delivers a few elbow shots. Referee Brian Hebner tells Roode to get back into the ring. Roode stomps away on Angle and then chokes him with his boot. Roode takes Angle down with an elbow to the head and goes for the cover, but Angle kicks out at two. Roode applies a headlock down on the mat. Angle fights out and takes control of the mat for a long time. Angle gets a few near falls, but then Roode comes back. Roode delivers the Double-R Spine-buster and goes for the cover, but Angle kicks out at two. Angle grabs Roode’s ankle out of nowhere and applies the Ankle Lock. Roode escapes and kicks Angle away. Angle charges at Roode, but Roode moves and Angle goes shoulder-first into the ring post. Roode locks in the cross-face in the middle of the ring. Angle gets free and wrestles around Roode for a bit, but Roode knocks him to the mat again and locks in the cross-face again. Angle makes an amazing counter and locks in the Ankle Lock. Roode gets free and counters into the cross-face again. Angle reverses into a cover, but Roode kicks out at two. Angle goes for a clothesline, but Roode counters into the cross-face again. Angle counters and hits Roode with an Angle Slam and goes for the cover, but Roode kicks out at two. Angle delivers three German suplexes, but then Roode counters with a low-blow behind the referee’s back. Roode drops Angle with a Death Valley Driver, but Angle kicks out at two. Angle grabs Roode’s ankle and grapevines the Ankle Lock. Roode passes out in the ring, but the referee raises his hand and it falls on the ropes. Angle sets Roode on the top rope and delivers the Angle Slam from the top. Roode and Angle are both down and the referee gets to a nine count. Roode gets to his feet and falls into the pin and gets the win.
Winner: Bobby Roode.
After the match, Angle is motionless in the ring as Roode looks on. A stretcher is brought down and Angle moves his fingers. Angle is placed on the stretcher, but Angle gets off of it and walks away under his own power.

We see another defining moment for A.J. Styles and then we see him warming up backstage.

We see Bully Ray talking to someone who is hidden. He says they fooled everyone and tonight is all about the group, the Championship, and their creed. Ray throws up the 3D sign and we go back into the arena.

Ethan Carter III vs. Norm Fernum
Carter shoves Fernum into the corner and then applies a headlock. Carter takes Fernum down with an arm-drag. Carter delivers a forearm shiver to Fernum and then beats him down in the corner. Carter suplexes Fernum down to the mat and then applies a chin-lock. Fernum gets free and delivers a couple dropkicks and a cross-body. Fernum goes for the cover, but Carter kicks out at two. Carter grabs Fernum and slams him to the mat and gets the pin fall.
Winner: Ethan Carter III.

We go backstage and we see Jeremy Boarash with Magnus. Magnus says we have arrived at the biggest night in TNA and the biggest night in his career. Magnus says he will not be satisfied until he gets everything he wants tonight. Magnus says he has everything to lost tonight and that his date with destiny is getting impatient.

We see the video hype package for the match between Magnus and Sting.

Magnus vs. Sting
Magnus takes control of the match early on and takes Sting to the outside. Magnus allows Sting to get back into the ring, but then Magnus clocks Sting with a right hand and sends him to the corner. Magnus applies a submission down on the mat and then backs him into another corner. Magnus delivers an uppercut, but Sting comes back with a back-body drop. Sting sends Magnus to the corner and delivers the Stinger Splash. Sting locks in the Scorpion Deathlock in the center of the ring. Magnus gets out and both guys are down on the mat until a six count. Both men get to their feet and exchange right hands. Sting tosses Magnus into the corner and delivers another Stinger Splash. Sting locks in the Scorpion Deathlock again, but Magnus gets to the ropes. Magnus delivers an elbow drop and goes for the cover, but Sting kicks out at two. Sting grabs Magnus and takes him to the ropes, but Magnus delivers a series of back elbows and sends Sting down to the mat. Magnus locks in the Cloverleaf submission and Sting gives up.
Winner: Magnus.
After the match, Sting extends his hand for a handshake, but Magnus slaps it twice with a smirk on his face and walks away.

We see another defining moment for A.J. Styles, and this one was him winning the 2013 Bound for Glory Series.

Jeremy Borash is backstage with Bully Ray. Ray says A.J. Styles reeks of fear. Ray quotes “Welcome to the Jungle” by Guns ‘N Roses. Ray says he doesn’t want Styles to die. Ray says he wants Styles to have to live with himself after he loses to Ray tonight.

We see the video hype package for the feud between A.J. Styles and Bully Ray, with the inclusion of Dixie Carter.

TNA World Heavyweight Championship No Disqualification Match: Bully Ray (c) (w/Brooke) vs. A.J. Styles
Ray backs Styles into the corner and then yells at Styles for being scared and tells him that he doesn’t belong in the ring. Ray delivers a scoop slam to Styles. Ray drops Styles with a short clothesline. Styles comes back and sends Ray off the ropes and delivers a huge dropkick. Styles goes after Ray and locks n the Calf Killer. Garett Bischoff appears on the ramp and Styles goes after him. Ray gets the hammer as Styles sends Bischoff on his was. Ray goes to swing the hammer, but Styles kicks Ray’s arm and Ray drops the hammer. Styles grabs the hammer, but Ray delivers a chop and Styles drops the hammer to the floor. Ray chops Styles again and mocks Hulk Hogan. Styles comes back and he and Ray exchange right hands, but Ray gets the upper hand and drops Styles with a clothesline. Styles comes back and delivers a dropkick to Ray’s knee and Ray falls to the mat. Styles goes up top, but Knux gets into the ring. Styles jumps off onto Knux, but Knux catches him and delivers a chokeslam. Ray goes for the cover, but Styles kicks out at two. Ray goes to chokeslam Styles, but Styles ducks and Ray hits Knux. Styles rolls up Ray, but only gets a two count. Styles gets caught up in the ropes, and Ray kicks him to the chest and sends him down to the floor. Ray goes out after him and grabs the hammer. Ray goes to hit Styles with the hammer, but Styles kicks him in the back of the head. Styles picks up the hammer, but then tosses it aside. Styles places Ray on the table and goes to the top rope. Styles dives off, but Ray moves and Styles crashes through the table. Taz hands Ray the box cutter, and Ray begins cutting the ring cover away from the ring. Ray exposes the wood underneath the ring cover and stomps on it. Ray calls for someone to come out from the back and Dixie Carter comes out and Ray looks confused. Dixie asks for a chair and then she hands it to Ray. Styles slingshots into the ring and hits the chair into Ray’s face. Styles connects with a Springboard 450 Splash and goes for the cover, but Dixie gets in Earl Hebner’s face and keeps him from making the three count. Styles goes for the Styles Clash, but Ray back-body drops him onto the exposed wood. Ray goes for the cover, but Styles kicks out at two. Ray hits Styles with the steel chair while he is still down on the exposed part of the ring. Ray goes for the power bomb, but Styles counters and delivers the Pele Kick. Styles goes up top and goes for the Spinal Tap. He connect and gets the pin fall.
Winner and new TNA World Heavyweight Champion: A.J. Styles.

Bound for Glory comes to a close with Dixie Carter freaking out and A.J. Styles celebrating his victory in the ring and then in the crowd.
