10/10/13 Impact Wrestling Coverage

Oct 10, 2013 - by Michael Riba

Impact Wrestling opens up with the usual “Previously on Impact Wrestling” vignette. This one features Hulk Hogan quitting TNA and the ongoing feud between A.J. Styles and Bully Ray.

Dixie Carter’s music hits, and she makes her way to the ring. Dixie, referring to Hulk Hogan, says his name will never be called in her company ever again. She says she doesn’t need anybody like him, Eric Bischoff, Mr. Stephanie Levesque, or the Jarretts to tell her how to run her company. She brings up A.J. Styles and reminds him that he is not needed here. She then says he is welcomed here tonight and that Bully Ray can pick any type of match for Styles to have tonight as Sting interrupts her. Sting asks her what is going on. Dixie says she is glad he is out here and says that everyone in the back needs to wake up and realize that they are under review. Dixie asks Sting if he wants to be like Styles and to be without a contract and a future in TNA, but she will do it because he made his own match against Magnus for Bound for Glory. She books a match for tonight that features Sting and Magnus teaming up to face two members of E.G.O., Christopher Daniels and Kazarian. Dixie says if Sting and Magnus lose tonight, they will not wrestle at Bound for Glory and that their future is in the palm of her hand. Dixie wishes Sting luck and says she wants him to win as she leaves the ring.

We go down to ringside and join Mike Tenay and Taz. They remind us that Christopher Daniels and Kazarian will induct Bobby Roode into the E.G.O. Hall of Fame later tonight, and we see that Austin Aries and Jeff Hardy will go one-on-one after the commercial break. We see Aries backstage and he says he doesn’t like Hardy and doesn’t like Ultimate X. He says high wires and spectacles are Hardy’s deal and that he is a professional wrestler and he will prove that to Hardy tonight as we head to a commercial break.

We’re back and we see A.J. Styles entering the building. He says it feels nice to not be followed by security and he is going to make Dixie pay.

Match #1: Austin Aries vs. Jeff Hardy
Hardy takes Aries down to the mat and then dances a little bit in the ring. Magnus says they have to get through E.G.O. to get that match, so they have to think about tonight.

Someone knocks on E.G.O.’s door, and Kazarian and Christopher Daniels usher them away as they get ready for their match and Bobby Roode’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

We see a vignette for the return of Kurt Angle, which will be when he is inducted into the Impact Wrestling Hall of Fame at Bound for Glory.
