Biography

– Ramirez began his career working for various promotions in Puerto Rico and Mexico as ‘Ricky Banderas’
– In March 1999, Banderas travelled to Japan to work for BattlArts
– Banderas made an appearance for ECW in January 2000, losing to Super Crazy on Hardcore TV
– Later that month, Banderas would begin competing full-time for IWA Puerto Rico
– On May 7, 2000, Nueva Generacion (Banderas & Nueva Gran Apolo) defeated Starr Corporation (Chicky Starr & Victor The Bodyguard) to win the IWA Puerto Rico Tag Team Titles
– On May 26, Nueva Generacion defeated Club WWF (Andy Anderson & Steve Bradley) by DQ to retain the IWA Puerto Rico Tag Team Titles
– On June 2, Nueva Generacion defeated Sexy And Sensual (Sean Hill & Andres Borges) to retain the IWA Puerto Rico Tag Team Titles

– In July 2007, vignettes began to air on TNA television, promoting the debut of ‘Judas Mesias’, the storyline brother of Abyss

– At TripleMania XIX, El Mesias lost his hair to LA Par-K
