– Penzer began his media career whilst at the University of Florida, where he owned a mobile DJ company
– Penzer debuted as a ring announcer for Florida’s GWA in 1988
– Penzer became affiliated with WCW in late 1993, acting as a booking agent for local talents in the Florida area
– In 1995, Penzer was officially signed by WCW in 1995 and became the company’s main ring announcer following Gary Michael Cappetta’s sacking. Ironically, Cappetta had been assigned to mentor Penzer upon his signing
– Penzer remained with WCW through to its closure in 2001, but was not hired by the WWF following their purchase of the company, and would instead return to his former role as a booking agent for independent talent
– Penzer worked with the short-lived XWF promotion
– In 2006, Penzer joined TNA as a ring announcer, replacing Jeremy Borash, who moved to a behind-the-scenes role
– Penzer was released by TNA in May 2010
– In 2014, Penzer became a real estate agent in Tampa, Florida
– Penzer returned to TNA, now Impact Wrestling, in April 2017, but was released before the year was out due to budget cuts at the company
– Penzer was rehired by Impact once again in March 2020, serving as ring announcer and occasional commentator, as well as hosting interview segments for international markets
– Penzer left Impact in December 2023 and began work on his memoirs
