Biography

– Fuji began his career in Hawaii sometimes working under his real name and sometimes under the name ‘Mr Fujiwara’
– On July 1, 1964, Fujiwara & Curtis Iaukea defeated Robert Duranton & Luther Lindsay to win the NWA Hawaii Tag Team Titles, but the decision was reversed due to Lindsay having replaced Shag Thomas in the match and the reign is unrecognised by the NWA
– On January 7, 1965, Fujiwara & Iaukea defeated James Blears & Neff Maiava to win the NWA Hawaii Tag Team Titles for an official first time
– On January 20, Fujiwara & Iaukea defeated Enrique Torres & Tim Colt to retain the NWA Hawaii Tag Team Titles
– In mid-1966, Fujiwara left the Hawaii territory for further training and moved to the Pacific Northwest, where he would debut the name ‘Mr Fuji’

– Fuji was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007
– On August 28, 2016, Harry Fujiwara passed away of natural causes
– On October 1, 2016, Mr. Fuji was voted into the GERWECK.NET Hall of Fame.
