Biography

– Linda Edwards met Vince McMahon when the two were teenagers. They married in 1966, when Linda was only 17 years old
– McMahon gained a degree in French from East Carolina University in 1969
– In 1980, The McMahons co-founded Titan Sports Inc. which would go on to purchase Capitol Wrestling, better known as WWF, from Vince’s father in 1982
– McMahon became president of Titan Sports in 1993
– McMahon became CEO of Titan Sports in 1997
– McMahon made her first on-screen appearance on the May 3, 1999 episode of Raw, accompanying her family
– In January 2009, McMahon was appointed to the Connecticut State Board of Education
– In September 2009, McMahon left WWE to pursue her political career, announcing a run for Senate shortly thereafter
– McMahon achieved the Republican nomination for the 2010 Senate race, but lost to Democrat Richard Blumenthal at the general election
– McMahon achieved the Republican nomination for the 2012 Senate race, but lost this time to Democrat Chris Murphy
– In December 2016, then President-elect Trump announced that he would appoint McMahon as administrator of the Small Business Administration. She was officially sworn in to the position in February 2017
– In April 2019, McMahon resigned her position with the SBA to chair ‘America First Action’, a pro-Trump political action committee
