- Kenney entered the independent circuit as Lance Diamond.
- Diamond defeated the Cheetah Master on May 1, 1993 for the ECWA (East Coast Wrestling Association) title in Wilmington, DE.
- Steve Corino and Diamond beat Ace Darling and Kid Flash (Billy Kidman) for the ECWA Tag Team title.
- On December 27, 1996, Diamond won a steel cage battle royal for the PCW (Pennsylvania Champion Wrestling) United States title in Reading, PA.
- Diamond captured the NWA North American title in Cherry Hill, NJ from the Reckless Youth on April 12, 1997.
- On November 21, 1997, Diamond defeated Ace Darling for this second PCW United States title.
- Diamond captured the NWA 2000 title on January 3, 1998 from Jimmy Cicero in Reaford, NC.
- At the 3rd Annual Eddie Gilbert Memorial Brawl, Diamond defeated Twiggy Ramirez.
