in a cage match, despite attempts by Randy Orton and Ted DiBiase, Jr., to climb over the
top; Rey Mysterio, Jr., over Dolph Ziggler; Chris Jericho had a confrontation with Ric Flair,
Ricky Steamboat, Roddy Piper, and Jimmy Snuka, leading to Flair punching him, and ultimately
Jericho challenging Steamboat, Piper, and Snuka to a handicap match at WrestleMania; Kofi Kingston,
CM Punk & MVP over Shelton Benjamin, Mark Henry & Kane; and John Cena versus Edge ended in a no contest.
- The 3/13 Smackdown scored a 1.9 broadcast rating.
- The St. Petersburg Times reported that several prescription
painkillers and steroids were found by authorities in the apartment of
Andrew 'Test' Martin who would have been 34 years old today. Police
spokeswoman Laura McElroy said that there was also a half-eaten pizza and a
soda near the body suggesting that he was in the middle of a meal when he
died. "He was obviously very healthy. The mystery of his death will likely
be solved by his toxicology report," McElroy added. With the suspicion of
steroids as the cause of death, WWE chose not to air the usual "In Memory"
graphic at the start of RAW.
- The Hulk Hogan divorce circus has become even more crazy. Hogan was on the Bubba radio show in Tampa
on 3/13 with his friend Todd Farmer, who has two teenage daughters that are friends with Brooke and
Nick. He claimed recently there have been wild parties at the Hogan family home, where Linda, 49,
resides with her 20 year-old toy boy Charlie Hill. Farmer said he has contacted authorities because
his oldest daughter, who has just gotton out of rehab, was offered drugs while partying with Linda and
Charlie.
