- Stone Cold Steve Austin's announcement for the Hall of Fame was made official yesterday during Monday Night RAW following WWE.COM's removal of the graphic during the weekend. Austin is the first one to be announced for the Class of 2009 and will be the main event.


- Raw on 1/12 scored a 3.52 cable rating off hours of 3.45 and 3.59.


- Smackdown is turning out to be MyNetworkTV' s best purchase ever as last Friday's show shattered all previous records with a total number of 3.9 million viewers tuning in to see the show. It also matched the highest rating with a 2.2 share among household audiences which was set by Smackdown last year.


- WWE released Sgt. Slaughter and Ron Simmons.


- Despite the recent firings, WWE quietly put Jason and Johnny Riggs and Michael Hutter under developmental deals.


- WWF 80s star, later Moondog, passes away Lanny Kean Jr., best known as Hillbilly Cousin Junior in WWF in the 80s, and later for Jarrett Promotions as as Moondog Cujo in the 90s, passed away at 1 a.m. last night from a heart attack in Jamestown, KY, where he was living.
