- Several WWE office workers were given the pink slip as the tough economy started hitting the WWE headquarters in Stamford, CT. Reporter Mike Johnson added that more firings are expected to happen in the next few days. Employees from TV studios, WWE.COM and other officers were the casualties today. A source of the website said that the company took out 10% of its HQ work force with today's releases.


- WWE has parted ways with former ECW referee Keenan Quinn.


- Ric Flair's daughter Ashley pleaded guilty to resisting an officer and was given a suspended jail sentence of 45 days. Apart from that she will also have to pay a $200 fine and have supervised probation. The other charge against her - assaulting an officer - was dropped after her attorneys managed to work a plea bargain. The incident happened in September of last year when 22 year old Ashley was arrested following an altercation with her father and boyfriend. Ric Flair was bloodied and bruised pretty bad after a fight with her boyfriend but declined to press charges. Police officers who responded to the 911 call from a neighbor ended up using a taser gun on Ashley.


- The Philadelphia based Ring of Honor wrestling promotion has been in talks with HDNet for a possible television deal. HDNet sent ROH a proposal for a one hour weekly show.


- David Loiseau has been signed by Zuffa and will be fighting at Middleweight in the UFC.
