- Brain examination results from Chris Benoit came out today and tests performed indicated that there was big damage from repeated concussions and other blows to the head. Similar tests conducted on other five athletes - two of whom committed suicide - showed that Benoit had the highest level of brain damage compared to the other five. These results were presented in New York this morning during a press conference hosted by Dr. Julian Bailes of the Department of Neurosurgery at West Virginia University and Dr. Robert Cantu, the Chief of Neurosurgery Service and Director of Sports Medicine at Emerson Hospital in Concord, MA. Dr. Bailes said that considering the amount of brain damage found it was enough to explain the double murder-suicide.

- WWE is teaming up with Microsoft to develop a new, cutting edge interactive video experience at WWE.com based on the Microsoft Silverlight cross-browser, cross-platform interactive plug-in according to a press release issued earlier today. Right now WWE uses Microsoft Windows Media Player as its primary way of delivering video content on the website, staying away from the flash-based plugins that basically took over the Internet video world. The website WWE.COM streams more than 40 million videos each month. "We are very excited that WWE.com will be utilizing Microsoft Silverlight to deliver the type of interactive, media-intensive and high-quality experiences that its dedicated and fervent fan base demands," said Brian Goldfarb, group product manager in the UX Platform and Tools team at Microsoft. "The support of an established brand such as WWE is proof that Silverlight is fast becoming a new standard in delivering media online." Silverlight 1.0 will be released sometime this month and WWE will develop a new way to provide videos, a better interface and proving advertisers new ways and means to reach their audience.
