- All Japan Pro Wrestling has announced that former TNA X-division champion Chris Sabin will challenge Katsuhiko Nakajima for the AJPW World Junior Heavyweight Title on 8/26 at the Tokyo Ryogoku Kokugikan show.

- Ring of Honor and Jimmy Rave parted ways.

- B.J. Penn pleaded no contest to reduced charges of allegedly punching a Honolulu police officer. Penn was originally charged with assaulting an officer, which is a felony. He pleaded to a misdemeanor charge of third-degree assault on Friday instead.

- Lyoto Machida vs. Kazuhiro Nakamura will take place at UFC 76 on 9/22. Nakamura was one of Pride's top Light Heavyweight fighters while Machida is currently undefeated.
