- Congress requested that World Wrestling Entertainment provide records pertaining to the WWE's testing policies and practices.

- Bob Ryder reported that Rene Dupree was fired due to failing the much maligned WWE wellness policy. Dupree had recently completed a 60-day drug rehab treatment. Ryder also reported that Dupree abused somas during his time with Ohio Valley Wrestling.

- The 7/26 Impact scored a 1.13 cable rating.

- WDFN AM 1130 in Detroit announced its TNA debut show prior to the 8/12 Hard Justice PPV.

- Pro Wrestling NOAH's director Ryu Nakata said on Samurai TV that Samoa Joe was coming to NOAH's show in Yokohama on 10/25.
