- Benoit was becoming more paranoid and believed he and his family was being stalked, reported the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Believing he was being followed, Benoit would take different routes home from the airport.

- According to the the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Benoit had taken out a new life insurance policy, listing his ex-wife and oldest child David, 14, and Megan, 10, as the beneficiaries. When Nancy confronted Chris about it, he refused to change it. Nancy had also learned that Benoit had set up a new bank account in the name of his ex-wife in Edmonton.

- Manny Arora, the lawyer for Dr. Phil Astin, claimed his client never prescribed steroids for Chris Benoit. Astin had been Benoit's doctor for the past six years.

- The 6/29 Smackdown scored a 2.4 broadcast rating, with a 4.9 share.

- A Mexican promoter claimed Wrestlemania 25 would be hosted in Mexico City. Reports suggested that Houston or Toronto would be more likely to host Wrestlemania 25.
