- After missing the Vengeance PPV, Chris Benoit, his wife Nancy, and their seven year old son Daniel are all found deceased in their Fayette County, Georgia home.
WWE confirms that the deaths were a result of a double murder-suicide.

- WWE decided against renewing announcer's Steve "Todd" Romero. Romero has accepted a sports anchor position at television station WKMG in Orlando, FL.
