NBCSports.com over the weekend that he is direct communication with Dana White, the UFC's President, about a possible return to the Octagon.
Shamrocks last fight was a first round loss to Tito Ortiz at the UFC's October 2006 SPIKE TV Live event THE FINAL CHAPTER. Since his loss in
October, Shamrock has been working as a coach/owner for the IFL. He has not fought in an MMA event since the loss to Ortiz in their third and
final battle.
