- The AWA issued a statement: "Out of respect and dedication to her legacy, the AWA has officially retired the title, recognizing Zero-1’s Nanane Takahashi as the AWA Japan Women’s Champion."

- Brock from PA reported that The Worlds Most Dangerous Man and UFC Hall Of Famer Ken Shamrock told NBCSports.com over the weekend that he is direct communication with Dana White, the UFC's President, about a possible return to the Octagon. Shamrocks last fight was a first round loss to Tito Ortiz at the UFC's October 2006 SPIKE TV Live event THE FINAL CHAPTER. Since his loss in October, Shamrock has been working as a coach/owner for the IFL. He has not fought in an MMA event since the loss to Ortiz in their third and final battle.

- Brock from PA also reported that UFC President and minority owner Dana White, along with reigning UFC World Heavyweight Champion Randy "The Natural" Couture, will be inducted into the "2007 Masters Hall Of Fame". The Masters HOF is a non-profit organization that "recognizes excellence in Martial Arts".
