- Former AWA, WWF, and ECW supestar Sherri Martel, 49, passes away.

- Paul "The Big Show" Wight was recently contacted by WWE to return, but he said he wasn't interested.

- European wrestler Chris Gray (Chris Chaos) has signed a WWE developmental deal. Drew Galloway and Seamus O'Shaunessy, also European wrestlers, have been assigned to WWE's new developmental territory in Tampa, FL.

- At OVW Six Flags Super Summer Sizzler Series #3, the Majors brothers defeated Charles Evans and Ox to capture the OVW Tag Team titles.

- Eric Bischoff was asked to take part in the Vince McMahon Appreciation on Raw, but turned it down claiming it conflicted with major business meetings. Others considered for the McMahon Appreciation night included Paul Heyman (shot down by Stephanie) and Verne Gagne (shot down by Kevin Dunn).

- Dave Meltzer reported that Royce Gracie tested positive for decadurabolin, a steroid also known as Nandralone. As a result of the failed test taken prior to the 6/2 Kazushi Sakuraba K-1 match on 6/2 in Los Angeles, Gracie was suspended for one year by the California State Athletic Commission.

- Meltzer also reported that Kurt Angle backed out of his scheduled meeting with the Bodog MMA group.
