- From Jacq: News on Jay Lethal and Al Snow‏

PWA Wrestling is teaming up with Edmonton Eskimos of the CFL for the July 2nd Half-Time Show.

The Eskimos will take on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the home opener and half time will feature Al Snow taking on "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal in a never before seen match!

- From Mike Informer - Cops: Man ran illegal casino. The agent for former pro wrestler Sgt. Slaughter is charged with operating an illegal gambling casino in a Main Street building.

======

- Gwar Lead Singer Wins Wrestling Match . In an event asinine yet sublime, GWAR lead singer Oderus Urungus has claimed victory over world-famous wrestler Tracy Smothers in a match held last week at Schoenbaum Amphitheater in Charleston, W. Virginia.

======

- FX's Landgraf: Sports Would Change Network's Game. if the network is going to move up, it needs wrestling, playoff baseball, a Thursday package of NFL games, a NASCAR package—something.

From Seth in Bay City MI,

All F.Y.E. stores have all their U.F.C. DVD'S prior to 2009 on sale for $4.99

Also, F.Y.E. has 4 different "Icon packages" on sale for $19.99. However, you can mail in your recepit to F.Y.E. main headquarters for a $9.99 rebate. For 2 examples: 1 icon box has the Bret Hart DVD, Jake "the snake" Roberts DVD and Brian Pillman DVD (which I bought). Another Icon box had the Hulk Hogan DVD, Rowdy Rowdy Piper DVD and Dusty Rhodes DVD.

Not a bad deal at all, actually a steal. Considering the above DVD's each alone avg $18.99 a peice at Best Buy and Wal Mart
