SG> How did you break into the wrestling business?
M> I was in Minnesota nursing and my girlfriend was dating this Hollywood stunt producer and he said I would be good in the entertainment business. So I thought great, I could be a stunt woman. He said no, and I said what then? He said a wrestler. I said what the heck? Like those guys who spit and scream on TV? He said yes! So, I told him to get lost. He kept bugging me and I quit my nursing job and two weeks later I was at wrestling school with Ed Sharkey and the boys.
SG> What was your impression of the WCW Power Plant? Which ladies did you train there?
M> The plant was a great concept. Now you have "Tough Enough," an even better concept. I trained, Torie Wilson, Stacy Keibler, Paisley, Lei Meow, Molly, and a bunch others. I really do not like to admit I was training some girls like Torie Wilson and Stacey Keibler, beautiful girls but come on.
SG> What is your opinion of the women currently in the WWF?
M> The women in the WWF are all in a great position for their careers. They are all beautiful. Some are talented and some just look great. That is ok. Marketing is everything. Just keep the ones that can not wrestle out of the ring, please, for every ones sake.
SG> Are you still married to Ken Blackman? Is he still in the NFL?
M> Yes, and no.
SG> Which match do you consider your greatest? And why?
M> Bull Nakano, anytime with her. She could make anyone dance the tango or Akira Hokuto.
SG> Who was your toughest opponent? Which opponent did you like to work with the most?
M> I really liked Rhonda Singh. Bull Nakano and Akira Hokuto, girls that could work. Then there was Heidi Lee Morgan and Luna was ok once in a while, when she didn't wig out on her opponent.
SG> What is your opinion of Vince Russo?
M> Road Runner.
SG> Who thought of or created the Alundra Blayze character?
M> Both Vince and I.
SG> Whatever happened to the WWF Women's title belt you threw away on WCW television?
M> I still have that belt!
SG> Explain just how different the Japanese culture embraces women's wrestling compared to American wrestling fans?
M> They are totally dedicated to you and only you. If a fan picks you, you are their favorite for years. They do not hop back and forth. I had a huge cult following. Girls with pom poms and cheering and it was something I have never seen here in the states. Until recently when I changed careers for awhile, Monster truck racing, I have little girls spraying their hair blue and wearing red white and blue stuff. It is so amazing! Madusa has become a wonderful role model for these little girls.
SG> Do you have a favorite wrestling angle that you took part in?
M> It was always nice working with people that had a great mind. Eddie Gilbert was one and so was Dusty Rhodes. I really liked the WCW spin the wheel make a deal.

SG> Do you have any regrets or anything you would want to change about your career?
M> Absolutely not! I am who I am today because of all of the adversity. People were brought into my life for many reasons, to make me stronger and to learn the hard way of life. I really can tackle anything. The nice thing about Madusa is that she keeps re- inventing herself. Wait till you see what is going to happen next! Really, 16 years of wrestling, three years of racing and still going strong? God I love life! I am going to be really bored when I am dead.
SG> What did you think of Verne Gagne as a promoter?
M> Verne Gagne was actually the first great booker to pay the girls well and to have us on TV. He gave Sheri Martel and I a great run.
SG> What do you think of Lita, and your former Team Madness partner Mona/Molly?
M> She does have some killer moves and is a hottie. I really think Molly has a lot of potential. She is young with attitude.
SG> Any chance we'll see you return to the squared circle?
M> You never know! The nWo sounds like I could make it into the new women's organization. I really miss wrestling. The only way I would go back if I was in the nWo, other wise I am done.
SG> Were you still under contract to WCW when it was purchased by the WWF?
M> No, thank God. I was smart and was hearing rumors, so I wanted out before Vince (McMahon) could buy it. I own my name.
SG> Ever consider opening a wrestling school of your own?
M> I have thought about it a lot. Now with what I am doing, there is no way.
SG> How was it to work with Steve Austin in WCW?
M> I have worked with him and he, Steve, was very easy to work with at that time. He was very quiet and real nice. Steve was married and a very dedicated married man.
SG> Did you ever envision his career taking off the way it did?
M> No, not at wcw. any thing was possible for anyone if they had the chance to go to the wwf.
SG> What did you think of Gorgeous George?
M> Very pretty and actually she did good for Randy. Really look at Randy's change, very extreme, cool and a very hip new look. Boy, did he need that and Randy is very good looking and a great bod as well. She was very young and new exactly how to dress him, just like an old man likes a young girl, they like to buy and dress them up too! As far as her talents, hot to look at and well, it stops there! She actually tried to do some things so she gets an A for effort.
