Battleground Kickoff Show:

We head into the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where Renee Young, Jerry Lawler, Sam Roberts, and David Otunga welcome us to the show. We see Kayla Braxton in the Social Media Lounge, and she informs us that here guests will be Mike and Maria Kanellis. We go back to the panel and they run down the card for tonight’s event. We then see the video hype package for the Flag Match between John Cena and Rusev. We head backstage with Dasha Fuentes and she welcomes John Cena for an interview. He runs down the rules for the Flag Match and he says he has weighed the possibility of winning and the possibility of losing in his head and he will not let down the WWE Universe. We head back to the panel and Renee says this is a must-win for Cena. Lawler says Cena said the same thing on Smackdown on Tuesday and wound up being laid out. Roberts says Cena has to come out and prove that he is still the man. Lawler and Roberts pick Cena to win, while Otunga picks Rusev.

We see the video hype package for the Fatal 5-Way Elimination Match between Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Lana, Natalya, and Tamina, with the winner going on to SummerSlam to challenge Naomi for the WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship. Carmella has replaced Otunga on the panel. Roberts asks Carmella how she feels that James Ellsworth gets credit for her win and not her. She says she doesn’t care, because she can and will cash in whenever she wants. The crowd starts chanting and Carmella tells them they are chanting for the wrong people and they should be chanting for her. Carmella says she went from the last Draft pick to Ms. Money in the Bank. Roberts asks Carmella about Charlotte, but Carmella blows off the question. Carmella picks Natalya to win, Roberts picks Charlotte, and Lawler picks Natalya.

We see footage of AJ Styles throwing out the first pitch at the Philadelphia Phillies game earlier today. We then take a look at Styles winning the WWE United States Championship from Kevin Owens in Madison Square Garden. Dasha is backstage and welcomes Styles. Styles says Owens talks a lot, but he hasn’t talked a lot in the last two weeks since Styles took the title from him. Styles says the United States title represents the workhorse of the WWE, and that is him. He says until someone outworks him, he will keep the title. He says Owens is not the man for the job. Tom Phillips walks up on Owens in the locker room. Owens says Styles needs to tell everyone how good he is, but people know he (Owens) is the best and the New Face of America. He says people know he deserves to be the United States Champion. He says people know this is the Kevin Owens Show and tonight he is taking his title back. He says he is more of a man than Styles will ever be because he is Canadian. Otunga says both men made immediate impacts when they came in and are on an even playing field. Roberts says Styles lives and breathes WWE. Otunga says Owens needs the win more tonight and Lawler agrees with him. Lawler picks Owens to win and Roberts picks Styles.

We join Kayla Braxton and Mike and Maria Kanellis in the Social Media Lounge. Someone asks when we will see Maria in the ring again. Maria says she is in the ring and does everything she needs to do to help her man. Someone else asks what Mike’s strategy is for tonight. He makes fun of the person’s name and then says he strategy is to punch Sami Zayn in the head as hard as he can, just like he did on Tuesday. Someone asks them how they can find love. Maria says you just have to wait until the right person looks at you.


Tye Dillinger vs. Aiden English
English applies a headlock and then drops Dillinger with a shoulder tackle. They lock up and English applies a wrist-lock, but Dillinger gets free and takes English down with an arm drag and then does a “10” taunt. Dillinger delivers a chop, bu English turns it around and decks Dillinger with a right hand. Dillinger comes back with a clothesline and then stomps away on English in the corner. English goes to the apron and decks him in the jaw and then drives a knee into the back of Dillinger’s head. English stomps away on Dillinger in the middle of the ring and then tosses him into the corner. English connects with a hip attack in the corner and then tosses him down to the mat as we head to a break.
We’re back and Dillinger kicks out of a pin attempt by English. English drives his knee into Dillinger’s back and then applies a headlock. Dillinger fights back and backs English into the corner, but English connects with a right hand into Dillinger’s back. English goes to the ropes and jumps, but Dillinger catches him with a dropkick. Dillinger chops English and then drops him with a couple flying forearms. Dillinger drops English with a clothesline and then stomps down onto him. Dillinger sets up for the Tye-breaker, but English rolls out of the ring. Dillinger follows, but English connects with a kick to the midsection. English rolls Dillinger back into the ring, but Dillinger catches him with a spine-buster. Dillinger goes for the cover, but English kicks out at two. Dillinger puts English on the top rope and delivers a chop. Dillinger climbs and goes for a superplex, but English fights back and headbutts Dillinger to the mat. English goes for a cross-body, but Dillinger rolls through and gets a two count. Dillinger goes for the Tye-breaker, but English holds on and drapes Dillinger’s neck over the top rope. English connects with a face-buster and goes for the cover, but Dillinger kicks out at two. English picks Dillinger up and goes for the Tye-breaker himself, but Dillinger gets free. they exchange roll-ups for two counters and Dillinger takes English to the corner and delivers a series of right hands. English gets free and slams Dillinger into the top turnbuckle and then delivers another face-buster and gets the pin fall.
Winner: Aiden English. (9:45)

We see footage of Jinder Mahal and The Singh Brothers arriving to the arena earlier today. He is interviewed in his native language. We then take a look at the video hype package for the feud between Mahal and Randy Orton. Lawler says this feud has been back-and-forth. Roberts says history will be made tonight and Otunga says Mahal has something up his sleeve tonight.

WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championship Match: The Usos (Jimmy and Jey) (c) vs. The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods)

Kingstn drops Jimmy with a dropkick and goes for a quick cover, but Jimmy kicks out at two. Woods tags in, but Jey holds him against the ropes and Jimmy connects with a hip attack. Jimmy goes for the cover, but Woods kicks out at two. Jey tags in and connects with a right hand to Woods and then delivers a scoop slam. Woods fights back, but Jey takes him down with an enzuiguri. Jey goes for the cover, but Woods kicks out at two. Jimmy tags in and The Usos double-team Woods for a bit. Jimmy takes Woods to the corner and stomps away on him. Jimmy connects with a hip attack and goes for the cover, but Woods kicks out at two. Jey tags back in and comes off the top rope with a forearm shot after a back-breaker from Jimmy. Jey shoves Woods into the corner and then sets him up top. Jey connects with a right hand and then a chop.
Jey slaps Woods across the chest again and then gets up top as well. Jey goes for a superplex, but Woods fights back. Woods delivers a few headbutts and sends Jey down to the mat. Woods connects with a missile dropkick from the top rope and both men are down. Kingston and Jimmy tag in and Kingston keeps the momentum on his side. Kingston drops Jimmy with a dropkick and then a flying clothesline. Kingston connects with the Boom Drop and then goes for Trouble in Paradise, but Jimmy dodges it. Jimmy puts Kingston on the apron, but Kingston fights him off and then kicks Jey in the face. Woods tags in and Kingston goes up top. Kingston dives onto The Usos, but they catch him and power bomb him on the floor.
Jey catches Woods with an uppercut and Jimmy tosses Woods back into the ring. Jimmy goes up top for a splash, but Woods moves out of the way. Woods catches Jimmy with a face-buster and goes for the cover, but Jimmy kicks out at two. Jey gets into the ring and he and Jimmy double-team Woods. Jey drops Woods with a Samoan Drop and goes for the cover, but Woods kicks out at two. Jey sends Woods to the corner and charges, but Woods catches him with an elbow. Woods takes out both Usos and then goes up top. Woods goes for the elbow drop, but Jey moves and Jimmy catches Woods with a super kick in mid air. Jimmy goes for the cover, but Woods kicks out at two. Jimmy grabs Woods and applies a modified Boston crab submission and keeps Woods away from the ropes.
Jimmy sinks down into the hold more and Big E cheers Woods on from the outside. Woods crawls and finally makes it to the ropes. Kingston gets back on the apron and tags in. He and Woods connects with the Midnight Hour on Jimmy and Kingston goes for the cover, but Jimmy kicks out at two. Kingston springboards, but Jimmy catches him with a big boot. Jey tags in and connects with the splash and goes for the cover, but Kingston kicks out at two. Jimmy tags back in and he and Jey both go up top. Woods shoves Jey down to the floor and Jimmy dives, but Kingston moves. Kingston connects with Trouble in Paradise and Woods tags in. Woods connects with the elbow drop and gets the pin fall.
Winners and new WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions: The New Day. (13:50)

We see AJ Styles warming up backstage for his match against Kevin Owens later tonight. We then take a look back to Money in the Bank when Baron Corbin took out Shinsuke Nakamura before the match.


Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Baron Corbin
Corbin mouths Nakamura before the match and Nakamura meets him with a right hand. Corbin backs Nakamura into the corner and connects with a few knees. Nakamura fights back and the two men exchange right hands. Nakamura connects with kicks and Corbin rolls to the floor. Nakamura goes out after Corbin, but Corbin rolls back into the ring. Nakamura tries to get back into the ring, but Corbin keeps him at bay. Nakamura grabs Corbin, but Corbin kicks Nakamura away. Nakamura gets back into the ring, but Corbin catches him and beats him down to the mat. Corbin stomps away on Nakamura and then sends him to the corner. Corbin picks Nakamura up and applies a bear hug in the middle of the ring.
Nakamura comes back with elbow shots, but Corbin keeps control. Corbin tries to slam Nakamura onto the mat, but Nakamura counters and goes for a triangle submission. Corbin breaks the hold and drops Nakamura with a boot. Corbin goes for the cover, but Nakamura kicks out at two. Corbin tosses Nakamura out to the floor and then backs him into the barricade. Corbin backs Nakamura into the barricade again and then tosses him back into the ring. Corbin applies another bearhug and then slams him into the corner. Corbin keeps the bearhug applied, but Nakamura elbows his way out. Corbin goes or a choke slam, but Nakamura catches Corbin with a punch. Nakamura kicks Corbin in the back of the head and then connects with kicks across the chest. Corbin catches Nakamura, but Nakamura gets free and drops Corbin with a dropkick.
Nakamura sends Corbin to the corner and connects with Good Vibrations and drops Corbin to the mat. Nakamura goes for the cover, but Corbin kicks out quickly. Nakamura kicks Corbin into the corner, but Corbin comes back and drops Nakamura with a big clothesline. Corbin goes for the cover, but Nakamura kicks out at two. Corbin keeps Nakamura grounded with right hands, but Nakamura comes back and connects with knees to Corbin. Nakamura slams Corbin down to the mat an then sets up for the Kinshasa. Corbin catches him and drops him with the Deep Six. Corbin goes for the cover, but Nakamura kicks out at two. Corbin connects with body shots, but Nakamura comes back with shots of his own.
Corbin goes for the choke slam, but Nakamura counters with a back-stabber. Nakamura kicks Corbin in the face and then connects with a modified scissors kick. Nakamura sets up for the Kinshasa, but changes his mind and grabs Corbin. Corbin delivers a low blow and the referee calls for the bell.
Winner via disqualification: Shinsuke Nakamura. (12:25)
After the match, Corbin grabs the Money in the Bank briefcase and walks up the ramp. He turns around and gets into the ring and nails Nakamura with the briefcase. Corbin grabs Nakamura and drops him with the End of Days.

We see the first video promo for SummerSlam, which will take place on Sunday, August 20th from Brooklyn, New York. We then see Kevin Owens warming up for his match backstage.


#1 Contender’s (WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship) Fatal 5-Way Elimination Match: Tamina vs. Natalya vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Lana vs. Becky Lynch
Charlotte and Lana get sent to the outside and Natalya gets tossed into the corner. Tamina slams Becky to the mat and goes for the cover, but Becky kicks out a two. Lana pulls Becky to the floor and Natalya goes after Tamina. Natalya goes for the Sharpshooter, but Tamina shoves her away and Lana pulls Natalya to the floor. Charlotte gets into the ring, but Tamina and Lana double-team her. Lana stomps on Charlotte and Tamina goes to slam Charlotte. Charlotte gets free and slams Tamina to the mat and then goes after Lana. Tamina grabs Charlotte and Lana kicks Charlotte in the head. Lana goes for the cover, but Charlotte kicks out at two. Tamina delivers a suplex to Charlotte and Lana kicks Charlotte in the back. Tamina sends Charlotte into the corner and Lana connects with a running knee.
Tamina delivers a short-arm clothesline in the corner and she and Lana deliver right hands to Charlotte. Becky gets into the ring and she and Charlotte take Lana and Tamina down with suplexes. Charlotte trips up Becky and goes for the cover, but Becky kicks out at one. Becky takes Charlotte down and then sends her to the corner. Becky charges, but Charlotte catches her with a back elbow. Charlotte drops Becky with a neck-breaker and Natalya gets back into the ring. Natalya dropkicks Charlotte and goes for the cover, but Charlotte kicks out. Natalya then goes for a cover on Becky, but Becky kicks out as well. Charlotte goes to the floor and Becky and Natalya battle in the ring. Becky takes Natalya down with the Beck-sploder and then Becky delivers one to Lana as well.
Becky goes for one on Tamina, but Tamina pushes her away and delivers a superkick. Tamina drops Natalya with a Samoan Drop and then Charlotte drops Tamina with a kick. Natalya drops Charlotte with a discus clothesline and then locks in the Sharpshooter. Lana breaks it up and slams Natalya face-first onto the mat. Lana goes for the cover on Charlotte, but Charlotee kicks out. Becky grabs Lana and locks in the Dis-Arm-Her. Tamina spears Charlotte through the ropes and Lana goes for a cover on Becky, but Becky kicks out at two. Becky locks Lana in the Dis-Arm-Her again, but Tamina breaks it up. Becky gets the Dis-Arm-Her on Tamina and Tamina taps out.
Tamina has been eliminated.
Becky locks the Dis-Arm-Her on Lana again and Lana taps out this time.
Lana has been eliminated.
Natalya grabs Becky and gets a handful of tights and rolls-up Becky and gets the pin fall.
Becky Lynch has been eliminated.
Charlotte knocks Natalya down and goes for the cover, but Natalya kicks out at two. Charlotte delivers a power bomb to Natalya and goes for the cover, but Natalya kicks out again. Charlotte goes for the moonsault, but Natalya gets her knees up. Natalya slams Charlotte into the turnbuckle and gets the pin fall.
Charlotte Flair has been eliminated.
Winner and number one contender for the WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship: Natalya. (11:00)
After the match, Naomi gets into the ring and extends her hand to Natalya, but Natalya backs out of the ring and stares down Naomi from the entrance ramp.

We take a look at the video package for the feud between AJ Styles and Kevin Owens.


WWE United States Championship Match: AJ Styles (c) vs. Kevin Owens
Owens takes control early and applies a side-headlock. Styles sends Owens off the ropes, but Owens drops him with a shoulder tackle. Styles comes back and takes Owens down and Owens rolls to the outside. Owens gets back into the ring and trips up Styles. Styles comes back and takes Owens down again, but Owens rolls to the outside once more. Owens gets back into the ring, but Styles catches him. Styles goes for a German suplex, but Owens counters with a back elbow. Owens comes off the ropes, but Styles counters with a dropkick and Owens rolls to the floor again. Styles goes to the outside and slams Owens into the announce table and then into the barricade. Styles charges at Owens, but Owens moves and Styles hits the barricade.
Owens picks Styles up and slams him into the ring post. Owens tosses Styles back into the ring and delivers a senton. Owens goes for the cover, but Styles kicks out at two. Owens grinds his forearm into Styles and then keeps him grounded on the mat. Owens decks Styles down to the mat again and goes for the cover, but Styles kicks out again. Owens applies a headlock to Styles down on the mat. Styles fights to his feet, but Owens pulls Styles down by his hair. Owens goes for another senton, but Styles gets his knees up. Styles delivers forearms and kicks to Owens. Owens goes for the spinning back fist, but Owens stops him and drops him with a DDT. Owens goes for the cover, but Styles kicks out at two.
Owens applies a headlock down on the mat, but Styles fights to his feet. Styles connects with forearm shots and drops Owens to the mat with a big clothesline. Styles connects with a forearm shot and then charges at Owens in the corner. Styles connects with another forearm and then picks Owens up. Owens fights out and goes for a suplex, but Styles lands on his feet. Styles grabs Owens and slams him face-first to the mat. Styles goes for the cover, but Owens kicks out at two. Styles goes behind Owens, but Owens counters and goes for a super kick. Styles counters and sets up for the Styles Clash, but Owens counters and slams Styles on the ropes. Owens goes for a roll-up, but Styles kicks out at two.
Styles connects with a fireman’s carry neck-breaker and goes for the cover, but Owens kicks out at two. Styles goes to the apron and goes or the 450 splash, but Owens counters with knees to the midsection. Owens connects with the Cannonball in the corner and goes for the cover, but Styles kicks out at two. Styles and Owens get on the ropes and Styles goes for a sunset flip power bomb, but Owens holds on. Styles turns it into a Torture Rack submission and then slams Owens down to the mat. Styles goes for the cover, but Owens kicks out at two. Styles goes up top, but Owens hits the ropes and Styles crotches on the top. Owens climbs and they battle on the top rope again. Owens grabs Styles and goes for a superplex, but Styles gets free and drops Owens face-first into the turnbuckle.
Styles delivers a forearm and then goes for the Phenomenal Forearm, but Owens slithers to the floor and pulls Styles’ legs out from under him. Styles comes back and delivers the Pele Kick to Owens. Styles sets up for the Styles Clash, but his shoulder gives out and Owens slams Styles into the referee. Owens goes for the Pop-up Powerbomb, but Styles turns it into the Calf Crusher. Owens counters into a cross-face submission, but Styles turns it into a cross face of his own. Owens sinks down and Styles shoulders are on the mat and the referee makes the count.
Winner and new WWE United States Champion: Kevin Owens. (17:50)

We see Jinder Mahal warming up for his match backstage. The Singh Brothers walk up and inform him that they will not be able to join him for his match tonight. Mahal says he will trap and punish Randy Orton and make sure the Punjabi Prison is the final resting place for Orton’s legacy. We then see the video hype package for the feud between John Cena and Rusev.


Flag Match: John Cena vs. Rusev
Rusev goes for the Bulgarian flag immediately, but Cena cuts him off. Rusev beats down Cena and begins to climb. Cena cuts Rusev off again and delivers a bulldog that takes Rusev down to the mat. Cena climbs his corner, but Rusev cuts him off. Rusev drops Cena with the electric chair and then delivers a series of kicks to Cena. Rusev drops Cena with a suplex and begins to climb his corner again. Cena cuts him off again, but Rusev stomps Cena down to the mat. Rusev begins to climb again, but Cena stops him yet again. Cena delivers right hands to Rusev, but Rusev kicks Cena in the midsection and drops him with a DDT. Cena tries to fight back, but Rusev drops him with a spine-buster and sends him to the floor. Rusev climbs again, but Cena cuts him off from the apron. Cena delivers headbutts to Rusev that sends him down to the mat. Cena goes for the top rope leg drop, but Rusev counters with a power bomb.
Rusev climbs and finally gets the Bulgarian flag. Cena catches Rusev with a dropkick as he comes down off the ropes. Cena sends Rusev face-first into the ring post and then drops him with the AA. Cena locks in the STF and then climbs his corner. Cena grabs the American flag, but Rusev kicks him in the face as he gets back into the ring. Rusev grabs the Bulgarian flag and rolls out of the ring. Cena comes off the apron and knocks Rusev down to the floor. Cena slams Rusev into the steel steps. Cena rolls into the ring and grabs the American flag. Cena begins walking up the ramp and clubs Cena from behind. Rusev slams Cena into the steel steps Rusev slams Cena down onto the entrance ramp and grabs the Bulgarian flag. Cena grabs Rusev’s leg and they battle on the stage.
Cena slams Rusev into the LED board and and goes for a cross-body from the pedestal. Rusev catches him and delivers a fall-away slam. Rusev grabs a few tables and sets them up by the pedestal on the stage. Rusev picks Cena up for an AA, but Cena counters and shoves Rusev down to the ramp. Cena grabs the American flag, but Rusev cuts him off. Both men take each other out on the ramp. Cena grabs the American flag and crawls toward the pedestal. Rusev grabs the flag stand from the pedestal and nails Cena with it. Rusev locks in the Accolade on the stage. Rusev grabs the Bulgarian flag and goes to the pedestal, but Cena cuts him off and goes for the AA. Rusev elbows his way free and kicks Cena in the face. Rusev goes the Accolade, but Cena stands up immediately and AA’s Rusev through the tables.
Cena grabs the American flag and puts it into the flag stand for the win.
Winner: John Cena. (21:10)


We see Breezango in their office. They hug and say it’s been a fun journey. The Ascension walks in and admit that they are the ones behind everything. Breeze says that’s a let down, but Fandango says they weren’t even at the show last week. The Ascension get offended, but Breeze tells them to get out of the office.

The lights go out in the office and there is a scuffle. Fandango turns on a light and sees that Breeze has been knocked out. Fandango is hit from behind and knocked out as well. As the flashlight shines on Fandango, someone slowly drags him out of the frame and we see a “To Be Continued” message.

We take a look back to Smackdown on Tuesday where Mike Kanellis defeated Sami Zayn.


Sami Zayn vs. Mike Kanellis (w/Maria Kanellis)
Kanellis goes for a kick to the midsection, but Zayn takes him down and connects with quick right hands. Zayn rams his shoulder into Kanellis’ midsection and then sends Kanellis to the corner. Zayn connects with a right hand and then delivers a chop in the corner. Zayn sends Kanellis into the ropes and then clotheslines him to the floor. Zayn goes to dive onto Kanellis, but Maria pulls him out of the way. Zayn goes to the outside and Maria yells at him. Kanellis hits Zayn with a right hand and then they rub noses over Zayn who is down on the floor. Kanellis tosses Zayn back into the ring and drops him with a clothesline. Kanellis goes for the cover, but Zayn kicks out at one. Kanellis takes Zayn to the corner and connects with a few right hands. Maria blows Kanells a kiss, he catches it, and then hits Zayn with it. Kanellis goes for the cover, but Zayn kicks out at two.
Zayn fights back, but Kanellis clotheslines him in the corner. He clotheslines Zayn in the opposite corner and then drops him with a boot to the face. Kanellis goes for the cover, but Zayn kicks out at two. Kanellis beats down Zayn in the middle of the ring and then crawls over to Maria and kisses her. Kanellis applies a submission to Zayn in the middle of the ring. Zayn fights back and takes Kanellis down with a few clotheslines. Zayn connects with a back body drop and then sends Kanellis out to the floor. Zayn launches over the top rope and takes Kanellis out. Zayn gets Kanellis back into the ring and connects with a cross-body. Zayn goes for the cover, but Kanellis kicks out at two. Zayn goes for the Blue Thunder Bomb, but Kanellis holds on and counters. Zayn keeps his momentum and drops Kanellis with a DDT. Zayn goes for the exploder in the corner, but Maria gets into the ring and block the corner. Kanellis grabs Zayn, but Zayn counters and hits the exploder in the corner this time. Zayn connects with the Helluva Kick and gets the pin fall.
Winner: Sami Zayn. (7:15)

We hear the eerie Indian-style music and see the Punjabi Prison being lowered around the ring. We then see the video hype package for the feud between Jinder Mahal and Randy Orton.


WWE Championship Punjabi Prison Match: Jinder Mahal (c) vs. Randy Orton
Orton beats down Mahal in the corner, but Mahal comes right back and drops Orton with a clothesline. Mahal calls for one of the doors to be opened, but Orton cuts him off. Orton tries to escape through the door, but Mahal cuts him off. The timer runs out and the door is shut for good. Mahal sends Orton to the corner and then drops a knee across Orton’s chest. Mahal bends Orton’s arm around some of the bamboo and then works over Orton’s arm in the middle of the ring. Mahal calls for another door to open, but Orton cuts him off. Orton power slams Mahal down to the mat. Orton crawls toward the door, but Mahal stomps him and then slams him down to the mat and the timer runs out. Door number two is shut and locked. Orton slams Mahal into the bamboo and then slams him down to the mat from the top rope. Orton sets up for the middle rope DDT, but Mahal counters and slams Orton into the bamboo. Orton fights back and suplexes Mahal into the bamboo wall. Orton drapes Mahal over the top rope and calls for the third door to be opened. Orton tries to escape, but Mahal cuts him off. Mahal tries to escape now, but Orton stops him. Orton drops Mahal with an uppercut and goes for the door, but Mahal cuts him off and the third door is shut and locked. Mahal charges at Orton, but Orton counters with a power slam. Orton sets Mahal up on the ropes and drops him with the middle rope DDT. Orton calls for the fourth door to be opened. Orton goes for the RKO, but Mahal counters and drops Orton with a knee to the jaw. Mahal goes for the Khallas, but Orton counters with an RKO.
The Singh Brothers rush to the ring and pull Mahal through the open door and the door is locked and shut before Orton can get out. Orton begins to climb the inner structure as Mahal climbs the outer structure. Orton makes it from the inner to the outer structure and battles with Mahal near the top. Orton slams Mahal’s head into the bamboo and Mahal falls to the floor inside the structure. The Singh Brothers pull Orton down and beat him down inside the structure. The Singh Brothers pick Orton up and shove him toward Mahal, who kicks Orton in the face. Mahal climbs as The Singh Brothers continue to stomp away on Orton. Orton fights back and drops The Singh Brothers to the floor. Orton climbs and stops Mahal and pulls him back down.
Mahal grabs some of the kendo sticks from under the ring and beats Orton with them. Mahal goes for the Khallas, but Orton backs him into the structure. Orton grabs a kendo stick of his own and nails Mahal with it. The Singh Brothers attempt to get involved again, but Orton cuts them off. Samir Singh crawls through one of the openings and climbs the outside of the structure and cuts Orton off. Orton fights Samir off and punches him down and Samir crashes through one of the announce tables. Mahal climbs now and cuts Orton off. Mahal backs Orton into the structure and goes for a kick, but Orton moves and drops Mahal with a DDT after Mahal’s leg was stuck in the structure. Orton grabs a chair and nails Sunil Singh and Mahal with it. Orton nails Mahal with it a few more times and then begins climbing the structure again.
Sunil grabs Orton’s legs, but Orton kicks him down to the floor. Jinder Mahal’s music hits and The Great Khali emerges from backstage. Khali shakes the outside of the structure and Orton cannot climb. Khali grabs Orton around the throat from the outside and Mahal begins to climb and escapes the structure and hits the floor.

After the match, Khali raises Mahal’s hand on the stage as Mahal holds the WWE Championship in the air and the show comes to a close.
