The blurred out TNA referee controversy

Impact Wrestling Will Blur Referee’s Face in Tag Title Match After Lucha Underground Files Cease & Desist

In this week’s episode of Impact Wrestling, Broken Matt Hardy and Brother Nero will be traveling to Mexico’s CRASH promotion to take on Psychosis and Super Crazy to challenge them for their tag team championships.

However, Lucha Underground sent Impact Wrestling a cease & desist order over the matter of the referee involved in the match. The referee is currently under contract with Lucha Underground and therefore cannot appear in any other televised program. To rectify this error, the referees face will be blurred out of this week’s episode.

This is not the first issue Impact Wrestling and Lucha Underground have had. In 2015, wrestler Hernandez had been signed to LU but had appeared on Impact Wrestling to be part of the Beat Down Clan, leading to a legal dispute between the two companies. As a result, Hernandez was released from TNA and the Beat Down Clan was cut.
