Colby Corino arrested for “possession of a controlled substance”

Dec 4, 2016 - by Steve Gerweck

Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that Independent wrestler and son of Steve Corino, Colby Corino, was arrested Saturday night in Tennessee for “possession of a controlled substance” among other charges.

Some of his charges have been categorized as “drugs general category for resale”. An officer who spoke with Pro Wrestling Sheet claims that this means Corino was suspected of selling drugs due to the amount found.

Corino was set to begin training at the New Japan dojo next month and begin wrestling for New Japan Pro Wrestling in 2017. At this point there is no word of if his wrestling career in Japan is in jeopardy, as Japan has heavy drug laws (former WWE star Matt Sydal even found himself behind bars in Japan after being caught at an airport with THC oil). His father, Steve Corino was rumored to begin working for WWE.
