This would mark the end of the “Invasion” storyline that started when the WWF bought out WCW eight months earlier. In the main event to determine if the WWF or if The Alliance (WCW / ECW) would dissolve, it was Team WWF that emerged victorious. In what was a 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match, Team WWF (led by The Rock, Chris Jericho, Kane, The Undertaker, and Big Show) would defeat Team Alliance (Kurt Angle, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Rob Van Dam, Booker T, and Shane McMahon).
In a title unification match, Edge (from the WWF & the Intercontinental Champion) defeats Test (from The Alliance & the WCW United States Champion) to unify both titles and retire the U.S. title.
Trish Stratus (WWF) wins a six-pack challenge, to win the vacant WWF Women’s Championship. The title had been vacant since early Novembers, when previous champion Chyna left the WWF in a contract dispute.
Despite losing the U.S. Title, Test would rebound and win a 22-man Immunity Battle Royal. This prevents Test from being fired for one calendar year.
In another title unification match, The Dudley Boyz (from The Alliance but holding the WWF Tag Team Championship) defeat The Hardy Boyz (from the WWF but holding the WCW Tag Team Championship).
